Time to stay calm and continue on....
Yesterday's thread is here:

Texas’ first case of possible community spread of coronavirus highlights lack of testing
Officials said the patient attended a Feb. 28 barbecue at the popular Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, though it’s unclear if he had symptoms at the time....
...Houston officials later said the man, who is in his 40s, had attended a Feb. 28 barbecue at the citys biggest annual event, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. But it’s unclear if he had symptoms at the time he attended.

We know a LOT of folks who went to this year’s Rodeo BBQ cookoff....work associates. We did NOT attend, on purpose, for this VERY reason.
Prayers up!
I have stew beef frozen. I figured I would just toss it in there. Everything gets mushy in stew.
thanks for the %. It should be adjusted re: China, to put a big question mark after the child column.
Reason being, most young people go to cities to become worker drones and leave parents/grandparents back in the village to care for the children. Children are underrepresented in cities as China law says, if children aren’t born in city, then parent has to pay for the child’s city education. If child stays where they are born in rural China (61.9 million of them) then schooling is free. Laborer parents in the city can’t afford to pay, so children are abandoned to grandparents (many of them permanently abandoned). Young couples in China are discouraged from having children simply from the size of apts they are able to rent with their earnings (tiny). This allows the Chinese to artificially represent that child deaths from Wuhan Virus are low to zero because they aren’t counting the rural areas.
So much for the nursing home meme.
My nephew and his family usually go but did not. Times are a changin.
I just dehydrated a TON of frozen hash browns and now have about 40 # of veggies that are dehydrated. Mostly stew veggies...and, broccoli.
Amazing how small of a container they go into, afterwards :)
He’s had the power all along. Now, get on with it.
I’m glad they didn’t go!
We were actually refunded $$ for a concert that we backed out of, this week.
No questions asked...box office mailing refund. (Pretty pricey tix.)
That’s my question too (but I messed up and posted it on the old thread.) Reworded slightly:

... good discussion of sanitizers, handwashing, and masks:

Has anyone asked the taskforce when the US will have enough N95 masks for not only professional healthcare workers, but people like me with high risk family members?
Plus you gotta oversupply the hoarders, somehow...

I don’t know how I’d ever get over it if I was unknowingly infected and then infected my elderly Mom while “caring for her” because I can’t get the **** masks.
Imagine being in LA if it is isolated.
No place to be.
Lookner:
Denmark cases doubled from 250 to 500 in one day.
People need to bring their elderly loved ones back, if at all possible, into the family home like it used to be. Nursing homes are perfect vectors.
Yikes.
That’s a lot.
Ok, I’ve never done hash browns.
How do you go about doing that?
Or Atlanta
There is supposed to be a WH presser at 5:30 and another from the Oval Office at 9 tonight.
I you build it, they will come.
Oops, 5:30 WH presser cancelled.
That is one reason I am thinking the later speech will concern foreign troops.
We will need them here.

Lookner—churchs in DC closing for two weeks—DC health officials asked them to do it and they complied.
