Canada’s federal government introduced legislation to criminalize “gay conversion therapy” that aims to change a person’s sexual orientation to what is deemed “normal” by heterosexual standards.

The claimed issue is whether converting someone from “gay” to straight is cruel. The answer can be found in the therapy’s effectiveness.
In practice gay conversion therapy works.
So wait..... Black people can’t be turned into white people through therapy. If born-homosexual people can’t be turned straight through therapy and gay conversion therapy works then people can’t have been born homosexual. So homosexuality can’t be a birthright.
Conclusion: Gay conversion therapy is actually the process of removing a delusion from someone’s head. It would be embraced by anyone who’s not afraid of having their delusions destroyed. It shouldn’t matter if someone thinks gay therapy is cruel. Removing delusions should not be considered cruel. Anyone who thinks that way is delusional.
However, in related news, the Canadian government has legalized and encouraged the conversion of Canadian childrens’ gender through hormone therapy and counseling.
