You just have to dig around, and figure out what you believe, and how much conspiracy you are into.
There are occasional decent stories, most have there own threads.
I read this, skim mostly, to see how panicked the panicky people are getting.
I never fault anybody for their panic.
My very first impression was a caricature of Nero.
Also, I am trying very hard not to freak anybody out tonight (per our host’s instruction) but I believe part of the Italy story is the Lombardy region’s health care system has been overloaded—we have been warning about this.

Florida is in high tourist season this month, between Spring Training baseball and Spring Break. Snowbirds typically leave Florida around Easter. There is another FL tourist flush in May and June after schools let out for summer.

I looked to see if I could find any demographic breakdown for Italy and could not, but I did see this:

I just scanned through Flu Trackers thread for Italy, it is amazing how it blew up there. Cases doubled almost daily. Their first official case was Feb 21st

If I remember correctly,
1. Incubation is from a few days to 14.
2. Shedding is almost immediate, and starts before you are symptomatic. And a lot of folks stay shedding and asympomatic the whole time.
I just find that sort of odd.
I think you’ll see more of a “keep your chin up!” theme here in future.
But it has been good to sound the alarm early. Early preventive measures give the most rewards.
I asked the SID last night how they were traveling. They’re not flying at least, but about staying in a hotel?
If I hadn’t seen her before just standing around over people I would have thought she was deliberately trying to spread the virus.
But I think she is just a rude inconsiderate witch who may have Wuhan...but certainly has something.
Let me tell you, if I was about to blow a gasket...imagine as this deepens and you get people that will just normally shiv you for looking at them cross eyed.

I was wondering if the USA is ready to deployed military hospitals?
I think our big cities will need help.
Does the Guard and Reserve has the assets to deploy or do we need to figure out how to deployed active?
