That must be hard waiting for what’s coming. Maybe your state will end up with some quarantine facilities to take the load off hospitals

The Arizona Department of Health Services and Pinal County Public Health Department has confirmed two additional presumptive positive cases of COVID-19 in Pinal County.

TUCSON, Ariz. — A Pima County resident has tested presumptively positive for the coronavirus known as COVID-19, county health officials announced Monday afternoon.

The patient lives in unincorporated Pima County and recently returned from travel in an area with community spread of the virus, county officials said in a news release.

The person isn’t seriously ill and is recovering at home. State and county health officials are investigating anyone who had contacts with the patient.

CPAP hood. SO I guess a CPAP machine would help some for all of those with sleep apnea

When the system is overwhelmed that 5% critical becomes 5% dead. Add to that the 2% or 3% that it kills outright and we have a death rate of 7% to 8%. Add to that another 2% of older people with “severe” symptoms dying and we have 10% kill rate if it’s not stopped.

No, I have pretty tough skin and having been here for 22 for 22 years I am used to posts like yours

Nice try though

These colors don’t run

Well, bud, your time on FR isn't really relevant.

We're not running, we're fighting.

All the apocalyptics have settled down, and all the complacents are like anti-war protesters.

The rest of us are looking to solve the problem.

You can try to wrap yourself in FR seniority or the flag and it matters not to those who care about solving the real problem.

Another typical attitude is read and listen to people saying things like this and think “that’s bad dude” and then go out for dinner because you think you’ll be safe. We have seen it, you won’t be if you don’t take it seriously. I really hope it won’t be as bad as here but prepare.

And the United States is full of people who think it's "just the flu".

Are they panicking? Really? Or are they taking appropriate action? I assume you know better than they.

That’s why it is so hard to calculate CFR. The CFR is in part dependent on the available healthcare. The vast difference between Germany and Singapore vs. Iran and Italy is what hc resources are available.

“Another typical attitude is read and listen to people saying things like this and think “that’s bad dude” and then go out for dinner because you think you’ll be safe.”

I just did this. Yesterday. And darnit I did not get away from a Chinese lady hacking all over me with a deep lung cough.

I made plenty of faces. I almost went off. But I did not get up at the first sign of a cough...like an idiot.

Now I wait and see. I am better than I was earlier today but still not feeling well

So screw all of those people that mock and ridicule..because just wait until it happens to them

“President is very subdued. Pence continues to say the risk of contacting the virus is low.”

I’m confident that the President really knows what’s going on.

And Pence is correct right this moment. The risk is low but growing geometrically with each generation of infected. So without containment efforts to slow it down it will get to be high risk a lot faster.

Tonight’s opening segment of Tucker Carlson.

Excellent explanation of what is, and isn’t being told, by leadership....about CV.

Our leaders need to prepare Americans for what’s coming and mitigate the damage that China caused.

Ah.

That was another link posted early on in this discussion.

IIRC it postulated that not only were the facilities transmitting it (ie the local sorting probably) but the local mail guy might be doing that as well unknowingly.

A resident of Josephine Caring Community in Stanwood has tested presumptive positive for COVID-19, according to a statement from the Snohomish Health District.

Aegis Living at Marymoor confirms COVID-19 cases in resident, staff member

Aegis Living at Marymoor, located in Redmond, announced Monday afternoon that one of its residents tested positive for COVID-19, according to an email sent to families.

The resident was being treated for what Aegis management believes was an unrelated condition at a local hospital last week, the email said. As a precaution, the resident was tested for COVID-19 while they were at the hospital.

The resident was isolated after returning from the hospital, but has since returned to the medical center for treatment.

“Our thoughts are with this resident and her family and we wish them a speedy recovery,” the email said.

Aegis Marymoor alerted the community on Saturday morning that a staff member had also tested positive for the virus
