RE: the US anyway, we hopefully have a better example in the Grand Princess - straight back from Hawaii, quarantined for testing, tested quickly, and disembarking as expeditiously as possible into mandatory quarantine (so far, only 2).
From my previous posts just above, the Grand infection seems to be from a WA genome source of infection. Given that 19 of the Grand and 82 of the Diamond had infected crew, there may be new industry-wide screening of cruise employees on an on-going scheduled basis tuned to incubation time following each port call or every 7 days or so until a mandatory vaccine is developed. That would include entertainment hires. The employees are the most logical new canaries in the coal mine.
I thought all the COVID-19 task force members looked dog tired. They have been working incredibly long hours 7 days per week. Add trans-continental travel to the mix. Jet lag on steroids. Suppressed immune systems too.
Well I won’t go that far. It’s also tranmitted on money and a host of other possibilities. Go to a gym and use equipment everyones had their hands on. Eat at a restaraunt and you have no clue how many people have touched the food or plate before you get it. Check out in a grocery store line and the gal might have just returned from over seas.
Agreed—when you don’t get enough sleep you get stressed—combine with it tough problems that are out of your comfort zone—that is “the look” I am seeing.
Until recently, in my ‘hood, there was much more chance of it being shipped in via fedex truck than there was the country quickie mart having it.

Born and raised in a sleepy rural town I understand the local country quick mart. It still has one grocery store! Most drive 30-40 Miles for ‘grocery day’ in the city. Where I am now they’re all over the place.
Interesting. A new G-CoV in North Europe and Russia. How odd. They found S-CoV where we expect it. China, west coast US and SK. East coast US is recent infection. They call L-CoV V-CoV. Did not sample from Iran apparently. But the Italian version and French version are the infamous L-CoV now called V-CoV apparently. Unfortunately Latin America has same strain as Italy. Holly cow. And that V-CoV is coming into eastern US via Italians.
