In the 1960’s there weren’t enough Asians in this country to crash the healthcare system if they all got a ‘mainly Asian’ disease.
Now, there are enough to do that.

The head of the Port Authority — who has been visiting local airports and other transit facilities — has the coronavirus, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Monday.
Cuomo said he himself “could have been in contact” with infected PA executive director Rick Cotton but hasn’t been tested because he’s an “improbable positive,” meaning he isn’t likely to have the virus.
Cotton is now quarantined, the governor told reporters.
The PA chief’s team of aides is being tested now, Cuomo said — as he announced that the state total of confirmed cases is now at 142, or 37 more than Sunday.

The Tennessee Department of Health said a fourth COVID-19 case has been confirmed in Tennessee.
The fourth case, an adult female in Middle Tennessee, was reported Monday.
The three other cases were in Davidson County, Shelby County, and Williamson County.
There are still no confirmed cases in East Tennessee.

I saw on another thread the claim that we will be OK in the US because of our overall low density of population.
Obviously, if the urban folks overwhelm the national health care system we all have a problem, even if we just get a broken leg fixing a tractor.
Just looked online and our only store in town has a notice of out of stock. Never seen a notice before. I bought the last one on the shelf last week but don’t know if that was the last one ever.

I talked to my insurance co today about refilling early, they said they could only when my state declares an emergency, and the most “extra” meds would be 2-weeks. We are doing 90-day meds - but it puts us running out in May

I hate - HATE - to say this, but Cuomo here in New York has been looking really on top of this over the last few days. I disagree with nearly every word the man says in most circumstances, but he’s started to be a strong administrator on this. At least for the last few days.
