NY must have tested a _lot_ of folks _today_, since they only had 197 tests as of midnight.

Good to see the tests ramping up there.

Cream cheese? Can’t fathom how that is an emergency staple. To each his own.

In my husband’s line of work, he is more exposed than his employees. He is face to face with 50+ people per day, including many first responders. I asked how he will know when to shut down, and he said that will be a corporate decision. If it were up to him, he’d do it now. Fingers crossed and 🙏

Wow you made my day...

I have been here for 22 years because of Freepers, I am a paying member and enjoy the company and despite your commentary I view all as my equal Brothers and Sisters

Opinions vary but I take no umbrage and continue on the course I am on

So enjoy the conversation with others who think as you do, I guess all the “Children” you allude to being yourself and others wish to huddle and share stories

Awesome, this is not called FreeRepublic for nothing

197 tests or 197 test kits? Each test kit can test 100 people.

5 French parliament. No doubt there will be more.

Last week, the British parliament was floating the idea of not coming back after the Mar. 31 (if not sooner) Easter break for a 6 month closure.

Two of our senators are self isolating.

Iran’s leaders aren’t faring well.

Sorry if someone alrady posted on this - but a 2nd case of Coronavirus has been detected in Minnesota.

Here’s the link to KSTP-TV’s website:

https://www.kstp.com/news/2nd-coronavirus-case-minnesota/5668414/?cat=1

It looks like the person contracted it while on vacation in Europe in late February. He is a resident of Carver County, southwest of Minneapolis.

Carver County is a half suburban/half rural county. The eastern side is very suburbanized and the western half is mostly smaller towns and farms.

The children won’t die. Probably won’t even sniffle really.

Their parents may win a million dollar ICU visit, may.

Their grandparents may not make it through this.

Excellent video about vitamin d and its effect on reducing chest infections, whether bacterial or viral in nature.

Quick summary

Take it monthly, weekly, or daily over all grouped tests show...
12% less likely to get chest infection

Take it daily, or weekly show...
19% less likely to get chest infection

If you’re vitamin D deficient before taking vitamin D daily, or weekly shows
70% less likely to get chest infection

Needless to say we’re taking vitamin D. Bought this early on.
