This paper goods thing at Costco is wild. Saw a tweet that one Costco sold $70k worth of toilet paper in 1/2 hour. that surely isnt true

Anchor 𝐀𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐫 Anchor @AnchorFTW · 27m I always thought the apocalypse would involve more zombies and less wrestling old people for toilet paper at Costco.

LOL! Great post.

The crazy thing about the TP craze is that it’s USA product that will be available to TEOTWAWKI.

Yes, I believe it, I was in to buy their Irish Stew for St Paddys Day and the local Costco which usually has a few Asians in was looking like little Saigon and China town, they were buying cart fulls of TP, bottle water and grabbing at pallets when they were wheeled out, they sell out within an hour and when the toilet paper ran out they bought carts full of paper towel. They were shoving, one elderly person was pushed and rammed with cart - that’s why a thread like this does a disservice adding to the harm rather than helping by fanning unnecessary panic.

As the New England Journal of Medicine reported: , the 1.4% figure .. is probably higher than the “real” death rate, Fauci added.

That’s because many corona virus cases are so mild they’re not even being reported, Fauci explained in an editorial he co-wrote in the same issue of the NEJM.

Co-authors include Dr. Robert Redfield, who directs the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Dr. Clifford Lane, deputy director of the NIAID.

“If one assumes that the number of asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic cases is several times as high as the number of reported cases, the case fatality rate may be considerably less than 1%,” Dr. Fauci and his colleagues explained.

“This suggests that the overall clinical consequences of COVID-19 may ultimately be more akin to those of a severe seasonal influenza pandemic [which has a case fatality rate of approximately 0.1%] or a pandemic influenza [similar to those in 1957 and 1968],” the experts wrote.
