Yes, I believe it, I was in to buy their Irish Stew for St Paddys Day and the local Costco which usually has a few Asians in was looking like little Saigon and China town, they were buying cart fulls of TP, bottle water and grabbing at pallets when they were wheeled out, they sell out within an hour and when the toilet paper ran out they bought carts full of paper towel. They were shoving, one elderly person was pushed and rammed with cart - that’s why a thread like this does a disservice adding to the harm rather than helping by fanning unnecessary panic.

As the New England Journal of Medicine reported: , the 1.4% figure .. is probably higher than the “real” death rate, Fauci added.

That’s because many corona virus cases are so mild they’re not even being reported, Fauci explained in an editorial he co-wrote in the same issue of the NEJM.

Co-authors include Dr. Robert Redfield, who directs the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Dr. Clifford Lane, deputy director of the NIAID.

“If one assumes that the number of asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic cases is several times as high as the number of reported cases, the case fatality rate may be considerably less than 1%,” Dr. Fauci and his colleagues explained.

“This suggests that the overall clinical consequences of COVID-19 may ultimately be more akin to those of a severe seasonal influenza pandemic [which has a case fatality rate of approximately 0.1%] or a pandemic influenza [similar to those in 1957 and 1968],” the experts wrote.

Testing is basically useless...maybe that is why they have stopped at Evergreen.

Patient 0 tested negative while in a hospital bed several days into his illness while shedding the virus.

So spreaders can walk around thinking they are fine..spread it..and then get sick later.

I trust no data at this point.

What I do trust is that a lot more people than we know had it, and/or have it, and/or died from it.

The death rates should be quite low—as long as the sick people do not overwhelm the health care system.

_That_ is the wild card in the deck, and what we spend a lot of time focusing on here.

that’s why a thread like this does a disservice **

this thread has questioned why people are buying TP, not encouraged them to fill up the truck

And, I very seriously doubt that the Asians mentioned in the post, read Free Republic. Liberals are fighting over TP; Freepers bought their quarantine supplies a month ago. They won’t be selling theirs out of the back of a truck for $10 a roll.

You nut!
Those “Asians” were buying for their relatives back ‘home’.
LOL! What a bizarre distortion of reality you posted.
