he won’t play with no fans? then he should shake the hand of every fan that shows up
@nerd_hawk
that also gives you an idea of how well our screening is going at the airports. 12K in NY, 10K in Calif.
Feel better about screening now?
We have no choice at this point.
But, we should be banning all incoming and outgoing flights from everywhere to everywhere.
For every passenger that we screen (from a “hot spot”) there are probably a dozen that come in that could be carrying the virus (without symptoms) from other countries that are not “hot spots”.
My analogy is putting a triple lock on the front door while the side door is off the hinges.
The really dumb meth heads might be deterred from robbing the house, but I wouldn’t call it an adequate or reasonable approach to the problem. ;-)
Im glad I didnt read this three days ago. My son had a puke virus and then fever. He hasnt been exposed to Coronavirus, so I wasnt overly concerned. I did look up the symptoms which did not include vomiting/diarrhea. His doctor immediately diagnosed him with the stomach bug which the doctor had experienced two days before. Its not uncommon for children to experience vomiting when they have pneumonia with or without fever. One of my girls had walking pneumonia when she was in third grade. Her only symptom was vomiting. When the doctor listened to her lungs, she suspected pneumonia and sent us for xrays.
We’re going to be stuck with it forever if the entire world doesn’t shut down for two weeks. No planes, trains, automobiles, people and ships crossing borders. But leaders just don’t have the guts to do it. Two weeks compared to forever.
After the 20/20 show, Costco lines will be horrid. Why don’t those folks just go to their neighborhood grocery store? Much less crowded and more items in stock.
The little local grocery store had toilet paper (a bit more expensive than costco), canned goods, fresh cut meat (which is why we patronize them), and still had bleach and sanitizer too.
Local Ace hardware still had clorox, lysol, lightbulbs, etc.
A bit more spendy than the big box store, but not the thousands of other possibly germ infected people touching them and breathing air next to you.
Shoulda happened weeks ago.
The reason the leaders don’t want to do is that it won’t be just for two weeks.
Without a vaccine (or _maybe_ hot weather, debated often here) the virus will be ready to leap the second tough measures are lifted.
China is about to find this out the hard way as they “recover” from the virus.
one of those side doors is China. Did you notice my post early this evening about Canada refusing to stop China flights? With their socialized medicine, they will be overwhelmed before they can say corona. We need to close the northern border until they smarten up.
Canada is a wholly owned subsidiary of China at this point.
We need to recognize that.
(it’s likely we, for the most part, are too)
Hotel in China holding coronavirus victims in quarantine collapses as emergency service scramble to reach 70 trapped in the rubble
When I want on a cruise in Feb I was surprised at the large Chinese presence in the Caribbean. Those folks are everywhere.
diarrhea has been repoted by some CV patients, along with severe stomach cramping. Don’t know about nausea tho
LOL, I bought several dental floss, too. Don’t want to be without.
Its depressing. Weve missed window after window of opportunity to slow this thing down. The next window is limiting interstate travel within the US along with external borders.
I dont understand the hesitation. Is it the economy? It seems like the more endemic it becomes, the more our economy will tank.
Costco has put new rules in = 2 TP, 2 water per member card per day. Coming to a store near you
that reminds me of printers. The ink carts are as expensive as the printer. Guess how many printers we’ve donated to goodwill? :)
If it isn’t widespread, you can’t really mandate the vaccine.
I want to know who, in the cdc, has invested lots of money in the companies developing a vaccine for this.
