Michigan Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib went on a bizarre rant against pro-life men Wednesday, claiming they “shouldn’t even want to have sex with me.”
Business and Politics Review reports Tlaib was one of several Democrats who spoke at a pro-abortion rally outside the U.S. Supreme Court as the justices heard a challenge to a Louisiana abortion law.
The case will determine whether states may require abortionists to have hospital admitting privileges for patient emergencies and whether abortion businesses may sue on behalf of their patients. A ruling is expected in June.
Ignoring pro-lifers’ true goal of protecting unborn babies’ lives, Tlaib argued that pro-life lawmakers are “commercializing” women’s bodies when they restrict abortion and treating women as lesser human beings.
“This past year, I realized — my, my, my are they obsessed with our bodies, how we talk, how we look, what we stand for,” she said. “I mean this type of policing of our bodies is so interconnected to all the social justice movements all around the country.”
She claimed pro-life politicians are “obsessed” with women’s bodies and suggested that they should stop having sex with women altogether.
“You know I, in the legislature, in the Michigan legislature for six years, used to say to people, ‘Yo yo, you know what? You’re so freakin’ obsessed with what I decide to do with my body, maybe you shouldn’t even want to have sex with me,’ or with you, or with any woman,” Tlaib said.
Her argument is nonsense. Pro-life advocates and lawmakers want to protect unborn babies’ lives, not control women. And with the Louisiana law, the purpose is to protect women from unsafe abortion practices — but Tlaib ignored this because it does not fit her agenda.
During that same rally, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer threatened two of the justices, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, if they rule against the abortion industry.
Abortion activists are becoming unhinged as they seek to keep the killing of unborn babies legal and unregulated for any reason up to birth. It’s time for Americans to reject this radicalism and restore common-sense protections to unborn babies and their mothers.
