Lucky for you!

Our stores are pretty much wiped out....Costco...no water, no TP.....Walmart....no water...a little TP was left, yesterday, per a relative....smaller grocery store had most water gone and cleaners were all wiped out.

They’ll restock, I’m sure...but, for those who’ve been trying to purchase these items, this past week.....nada.

Glad you’re alive....and able to post important info on the CV thread!

Thus far no China or Korea type outbreaks in the United States. Physicians are not seeing large numbers of patients with pneumonia characterized by chest CT scans with the typical “ground glass” appearance of COVID-19 infiltrates. No doubt the virus is here. There were thousands of people from Dec15-Jan 23 entering multiple points in the US. Yet it appears that Caucasians and Africans are far less susceptible to infection and serious disease than Asians. Thousands of Caucasians and Africans lived and worked in Wusan yet few if any became ill and none have died. The area of Italy where the outbreak occurred happened in a region heavily populated with Chinese immigrants and Asian workers. The modern Iranian population has a large Chinese imprint in its popluations genome. The Silk Road transversed Iran and Iran was once conquered by the Mongols.

If physicians start reporting large numbers of patients with ground glass infiltrates on chest CT scans, that would be worrisome. Until then it will take its toll mostly on chronically impaired individuals and those who are genetically susceptible. Also when reliable diagnostic kits are available, many will be diagnosed but few will become seriously ill.

Home Depot and Lowes are stocking up and many people don’t think to go there...but forget hand sanitizer unless you luck out and they just stocked up. They have everything else

Also, Bath and Body works isnt running out of their pocket hand sanitizers.

I lucked out at a local grocery store this morning at 6 am. they had just finished restocking as I walked up...and I found 1 Purell.

Talk about your ‘economic impact’....

Saw a tweet reposted on a local Christian radio station site. A listener went to the Costco Business in Fife (right next to Tacoma) and they said the parking lot was absolutely full, and the lines went to the back of the store.

I’m not sure I agree with your assertion that this virus is particularly hard on Asians as opposed to other racial groups.

However, and this is anecdotal, the guy that works across the hall from me is Iranian. he was telling me yesterday that there is a significant Chinese population in Iran. Ironically he’s been sick all week. Needless to say I’m washing hands constantly.

More people will see that Trump was right about bringing manufacturing back to the US. Most especially medicines and medical supplies!

Sure hope Team Trump uses this KNOWN history, of Trump’s, to remind folks, during this election year....that very fact.

Just saw the former Medtronics CEO, Bill George, on CNBC.....he says we’ll definitely see consumers stopping traveling....cruising likely until fall, airline for at least 2 months.

George suggested a win win, for Trump and company CEOs to get ahead on this and announce it’s time to do as much teleconferencing, as possible. Work from home, etc. NOT to fly, especially internationally.

If true and accurate——then it’s very disturbing.

Yes. And they just did a deal with China to have 5000 people enter to act as security to oversee workers as part of an Energy Deal.

As of this morning Iran is reporting 107 deaths. There were that many or more in body bags in that hospital walk through. Also...so much for children not catching this thing.
