Sen. Bernie Sanders campaigned with Rep. Ilhan Omar in Virginia on Saturday, where the presidential candidate called the controversial congresswoman “one of the greatest people I know,” Patch reported.
The two of them will also be campaigning together in Minnesota on Monday night.
Virginia is one of the 15 states and territories that will be voting on Super Tuesday, as are Sanders and Omar’s respective home states of Vermont and Minnesota. Speaking at the rally in Springfield, Va., Omar predicted a Super Tuesday victory. “We are going to win because we are building a movement that is multiracial, multi-generational, multi-ethnic, multi-religious,” she said.
After her fulsome introduction of him, Sanders joked, “I don’t know what I can say that Ilhan hasn’t already said. So I’m going home.”
Omar was accused of anti-Semitism last February after she claimed that the pro-Israel lobby AIPAC paid politicians to be pro-Israel (AIPAC does not donate to candidates but its members do). Sanders defended her during a Fox News town hall two months later, saying that she wasn’t anti-Semitic but had to do a “better job in speaking to the Jewish community.”

Personally, I don't think we should make him out to be less offensive and dangerous than he is by calling him the ‘Bernster’, or even Bernie. He's not a nice person, and is a danger to our way of life.
He has one child, to a woman he never married, and who had to live on welfare. He has a U of Chicago degree and could have provided for them, but didn't hold a real job until elected Mayor when he was 40 yrs old. He graduated in 1964, but never went to Vietnam. Instead, this privileged little a**h**e got to continue his radical politicizing. He's been a lazy brat most of his life, who has avoided hard work, and who has parasitized the government system he is attacking. In that, his life has been a lot like that of his hero, Marx - who was also a spoiled brat who avoided hard work.
Interesting to find out who his running mate VP choice will be. We all know he will probably not make it thru his first term and so do their choices

A public-interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption has filed an ethics complaint against radical Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. On Tuesday, Judicial Watch hand-delivered an ethics complaint to David Skaggs, chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Office of Congressional Ethics, calling for a full investigation into potential crimes tied to allegations that the Minnesota lawmaker may have married her biological brother.
Judicial Watch claims it has "substantial, compelling and, to date, unrefuted evidence" that Omar may have committed crimes in violation of both federal and state law. JW president Tom Fitton says their complaint is based on social media posts and sources within the Somali-American community.
"The information appears to give probable cause to investigate Omar for eight instances of perjury, immigration fraud, marriage fraud, up to eight years of state and federal tax fraud, two years of federal student loan fraud and even bigamy," Fitton explains.
"To be clear, the facts describe perhaps the most extensive spree of illegal misconduct committed by a House member in American history," he adds.
Fitton emphasizes this isn't about Omar's ideology. "Although she is ideologically quite noxious, she engages in this sly dishonest anti-Semitism," says the group's president. "She's viciously anti-Israel. She supports a supposedly U.S. organization that the U.S. government has believed to be a front for the terror group Hamas."
Minnesota Republican State Representative Steve Drazkowski has filed a separate ethics complaint against Omar with the House Ethics Committee that is related to immigration fraud
