What’s going to be interesting is to see what measures the government takes to maintain control. I find the people in NYC and LA to be much more selfish, angry, and without a morale compass than the majority of Americans.

No need to panic, but it is helpful to remember that there is no wall between Italy and the rest of Europe, or Iran and the rest of the Middle East (mostly).
There were several weeks there where the virus had a chance to spread without travel restrictions.
You don’t want to confuse reported cases with potential actual cases—there is probably a couple of weeks lag time there, and another couple of weeks lag time before hospitals begin to feel the stress...
Bottom line—we are probably a couple of weeks away from having a decent idea of where we are on this...

They can’t make 1% of what people will demand. If it’s useful at all, the entire stockpiles will be purchased by governments, and even they will be fighting over it..

And the irony, the Trump base will be just fine as the blue states, especially their cities will be in trouble. I'm thinking DJT wins the popular vote in November, and definitely in 2024!
Some of the biggest losing industries from this will be anything involving an audience - movies, sporting events, performances - and travel.
How long before we trust surfaces in aircraft, or the cleanliness of a motel room again?
How about that restaurant food? Fast food? Who touched it or breathed over it during preparation????
Taxis??? Lots of spread involving taxis. That is where NYC and much of the east coast will have issues, out west only in big cities.
I know I’ve got 3rd row seats for Shen Yun, and we aren’t going. Been waiting years to see that.
It will be interesting to see what industries flourish and which wither away now. Obviously medical will do well, and groceries- we as a nation will tend to stay home a lot more now.
Having spent a lot of time in Europe I’m aware of the geography.
