Good morning, kids. Start of a new week and of course the panic-cum-Democrat-pimped-Trump-kryptonite that is the coronavirus outbreak tops the news, so let's get with it. First up, the second reported US death occurred at a Kirkland, WA nursing home with the total number of cases so far at 89, as of this post. Again, it has to be emphasized that although the virus has spread virtually around the world now, due in large part to a toxic mix of mass global travel, open borders policies and the dangerous, and manifestly irresponsible communist Chinese government (and our own Deep State as I will explain), all exacerbated by the relatively long incubation period before symptoms manifest themselves, the lethality of this virus is in the ballpark of common influenza, and nowhere near as dangerous to healthy individuals as SARS, MERS, H1N1 and ebola. Yet the media still persists in both ginning up panic to make headlines, and more specifically to make up almost exclusively 100% anti-Trump headlines. The President and his team have so far been both pitch perfect in keeping the public informed, despite relentless media attacks and obfuscations, as well as taking action where warranted and as is their responsibility to mitigate both the spread and the impact of the virus here at home. On a positive note, the administration's decision in early January to institute travel restrictions on China when we first learned about the outbreak has been a major factor and success in so far keeping this thing in check, when compared to what's going on in the rest of the world.
Much more at the link.
Gas at the pump <$2 here.
Not to worry. Found this was for NY.
Snake update - 4 yesterday. So watch where you step.
WHO staff member tested positive in Iran
Were going to very soon see parts of this country like Northern California and Washington State adopt mitigation steps that - at time - could be disruptive to routine lives in local regions. These efforts will be be essential toward slowing spread and preventing wider epidemic.
I dont think they will be quarantining areas to stop the spread, the bats already out of the bag on that one, they will be limiting access to areas to control civil disturbances, preserve continuity of government, and protect property.
WHO: still not calling it a pandemic
what idiots...going by the confirmed cases..”aren’t that bad. mostly in China”
what about all the potential cases in the wild
I think they’ll close schools, movie theaters, no more concerts, sporting events, things like that, it will go a long way to help
The WHO just ins’t that useful, in-fact, I think there actions have been detrimental. They are advocating no restrictions on travel as if it’s not useful, even a fool knows that it is useful. They are simply being “woke”. I think it’s time the US through President Trump announce that the US will do what it wants and no longer list to the WHO.
Some frantic hysterical doctor just on Varney screaming about how thousands of cases will be here this week. oy!
They need to fly him back to Geneva, stat!
If there are thousands by the end of the week...guess what? They are here today. Duh. They just havent been tested.
People need to get a grip on how this stuff works. If you have only done 500 tests, the max you will find is 500. If you do a million tests...you find more.
Its here. We need to deal with it.
And we will.
At this time, we are not recommending school closures or cancellation of activities at schools.
The trigger for closing the schools will be a high absence rate, people keeping their kids home, to such an extent that they cant reasonably enforce the truancy penalties. They will then say they are closing the schools, out of an abundance of caution.

How very...interesting.
The Indian Prime Minister.
And just wait....the tests in China and Japan tested negative many times before they would trigger a positive.
The media is going to lose their shit when THAT happens here.
Very few in the media (and medical field) have done any reading on how this has presented.
The WHO just inst that useful, in-fact, I think there actions have been detrimental.
They essentially serve as witnesses and documentarians of the carnage.
90% would be best. 70% would require multiple applications.
Bleach is effective. You would have to look up the dilution.
My dehydrator doesnt 160 for drying meat. Never experienced any side effects from that.
Thanks for the summary.
We clean them out.

This Sunday, thinking of giving up my social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & YouTube. Will keep you all posted.
