Maybe they should leave the snow alone and quit packing it down with all that shushing...

Wasn’t snowfall in CA off the charts a year or two ago?

If the Summer Olympics gets cancelled this year, there are only two more Olympics left.

Snowfall has been abysmal in California this winter. The state-wide snowpack is running far below average to date and there is little relief in sight before the season ends. This is a stark comparison to last year when California was walloped with above-average snowfall and ended the season 175% of average by April 1. Just imagine the horror of being as stupid as the person who wrote the above paragraph.

I looked at a chart of CA rainfall/drought over the last 1000 years or so (sorry, forget where I saw it) and it was interesting that CA rainfall was uncorrelated with global temperature. But the 20th century was unusually humid, so things could get bad if it reverts to the mean.
Globally, though, a warmer world is a wetter world.
This article is BS.

There was record snowfall 2 years in a row even though these same people predicted no snow by 2020. How can they ever print this when last year was 175% and the year is not close to being over.

Maybe they are demanding continuous average values. Deviations standard or otherwise will not be tolerated. Perhaps we need to remind them that diversity is a strength or something.

The residents along Lake Erie who are trying to chip their way out of their ice-encrusted homes dont think there is warming problem. This is the sixth major winter weather event this year in that area.
