5W Public Relations has conducted a survey via phone of 737 American beer drinkers over the age of 21 on February 25 & 26, 2020, regarding their opinions about the popular Mexican beer brand, Corona, as a result of the deadly coronavirus that's spreading around the world.
The survey found that:
38% of beer-drinking Americans would not buy Corona under any circumstances now
Among those who said they usually drink Corona, only 4% said they would stop drinking Corona, but 14% said they wouldn't order Corona in a public venue
16% of beer drinking Americans were confused about whether Corona beer is related to the coronavirus

I wouldn’t even have bought it before, but I’ve turned into a micro-brew snob in my seasoned years, so...

I wouldn’t have bought Corona even before the virus made its appearance, as I have a natural aversion towards ANYTHING Mexican. I detest everything about Mexico, except the original song “La Bamba” and the works of the very gifted artist Alfredo Rodriguez (born in Mexico but has lived in the U.S. for years).
I like both Corona and Dos Equis.
I will drink a small 7oz Coronita occasionally but will drink a larger Dos Equis more often. It depends on my mood. Sometimes a little is enough.
I now drink it to celebrate the virus!!

Supposedly a myth.
The standard grade of gasoline in Mexico was, and may still be, “Nova”. If they’ll name the stuff that makes the car go “Nova”, they shouldn’t have a problem with a car by the same name.
It is not my favorite and I am no longer much of a drinker, but it is the Perfect ice-chest on the beech beer, drink in the hot sun beer.
