I picked a few items up today myself. Had Christmas gift cards to use. Finally why not for prepping.
No panic, but noticed a lot of people were shopping for similar items. Can goods, toilet paper, pet foods...many of those items on the JIT shipping programs.
Did notice when a young lady coughed...everyone stared at her. The fear is there...one wrong word from the government and we will see panic.
Heard Beck today talking about how bad the disruption to our lives is going to be as things from China begin to run out or low. He was really doom/gloom today and well just don’t think it will be all that bad.
We will kill ourselves with fear first.
If you go ahead and get the JIT items today, the store will have time to restock before the panic hits. More people will be able to stock up.
We started stocking up 2 weeks ago. We went back this past weekend and shelves where I had taken 2 items and left 3 were full again.
I went to Walmart and noticed a big difference in stock on shelves. No idea if from people buying it or from supply issues ...or they have just decided to keep less inventory.
