LANSING, Mich. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services said Saturday there are 325 people in the state who are being monitored for novel coronavirus, now known as COVID-19.
These individuals are classified as "medium risk" at this point, which means that are all residents who have been to mainland China in the past two weeks or they were passengers on a cruise ship with a confirmed COVID-19 case.
"These traveler referrals meet either the 'medium' or 'low' risk criteria for COVID-19 monitoring," said Lynn Sutfin with MDHHS.
Suftin said none of the individuals have been placed in a quarantine facility because the screening process found none of them were high risk. However, they are being asked to practice home quarantine as much as possible.
Local public health officials are also contacting the people daily for two weeks to check for any symptoms. They are monitoring the individuals health by checking: if they have a temperature, a cough or difficulty breathing. Once MDHHS receives a referral for someone who may have been exposed to coronavirus, they are they under the jurisdiction of a local health department.
The Michigan health department has already tested five people who met the CDC's criteria for coronavirus testing. All five results came back negative.

“being monitored”
I don’t think “monitoring” will help much. Either they’re well, and no worries, or they’re sick, and they’re now spreading the disease.
Monitoring could tell us how aggressively we need to implement mitigations, but we already know enough to know that aggressive mitigations should put in place, aggressively. I don’t see much of that, though.
Hey null, continued posting of your graphic on these threads has outlived it’s shelf life. It is starting to diminish your credibility and it does not reflect kindly on you. Just wanted you to know.
In much the same way the Golden Arches has outlived its shelf life?

No, I would say it's more like that stupid practice of dumping Gatorade on the winning head coach in football. Funny at first when the Giants did it to Bill Parcells then spread to whoever your local coach was, but truly tired and worn out over time and looks more immature with each continued occurrence. You don't want to be seen or thought of in that fashion. For as long as you've been a Freeper, you deserve being seen in a better light. As a fellow long-time Freeper, I just wanted to give you some helpful feedback. :-)
