A forever thread is getting long. Perhaps a weekly thread?

Yikes, I think Indonesia is a timebomb...

New death in an Iran per Steve Lookner, total 6
“We know a little bit more about this virus and the disease it causes. We know that more than 80% of patients have mild disease and will recover, but the other 20% of patients have severe or critical disease, ranging from shortness of breath to septic shock and multi-organ failure”
If they had to bring them all the way across the country, they should have just transported them on to the CDC headquarters in Atlanta. Then all those bureaucrats could study the disease up close.
But it just seems stupid to transport some of them all the way across the US when everyone knows the West Coast has the most ties to Asia and China. That just increases the probability it’ll be accidentally introduced into some new area. Some people will have to go in and out of the Alabama facility to feed and care for those who are quarantined.
According to the cut and paste speak nightly news tonight, China getting back to work again, with film of shoppers in groceries. And they are reporting on two day old news.

“Doctors are unable to identify the source of coronavirus clusters in South Korea, Singapore and Iran, the World Health Organization said Saturday”
If it is warmer and more humid in AL, maybe...
That fits with the claims of 2% mortality with access to modern, fully functioning and appropriate hospital facilities—but up to 20% if such is not available, whether just regularly or due to system overwhelm.

Novel coronavirus: Is this WHOs mysterious Disease X?
With the outbreak of the novel coronavirus showing no signs of abating, many experts are now wondering if this is WHOs mysterious ‘Disease X’.

“Some years ago, the World Health Organisation had spoken about a mysterious disease X. The premier organization also warned that this disease may spark an international contagion. Now, fast forward to the present day and you find the deadly coronavirus, or the COVID-19, defying the efforts of all agencies and governments to contain its spread. Moreover, this disease also has the ability to go quickly from mild to deadly. This has sparked fear that, maybe, this is the very disease that the WHO had warned the world about.”
That is not good at all. Does mean it has mutated for the worse?
Ya. Bleach in a septic tank just says ‘hire the dude with the tanker truck that pumps out septic systems’. Because you didn’t have anything better to do with several hundred dollars...
Trump is listening too much to the CDC.
Yes. Yeast is a good one. But there are treatments for septic systems that contain the microbes along with enzymes. Probably stuff not sold in the city/etc but our ‘country’ walmarts have it.
Ha!
China has a huge foreign secret service. Active in all those countries. Many agents travel discretely and wouldn’t want to be found out.
Just saying...
Im afraid so too, although I read he was very upset that they brought the infected cases home from Japan.
Alabama is definitely not warmer than most of southern California and probably part of the northern half. We do have winters with many nights below freezing temperatures in the upper half of the state where Anniston is located.
They better be testing and isolating the entire dormitory.
Some Alabama politician worked his heart out to get that FEMA facility put there to please the locals.
TANSTAAFL.
