A forever thread is getting long. Perhaps a weekly thread?
It seems (I think new report from Lancet or maybe JAMA) that it’s very transmissible in first 3-5 days when you’re not feeling sick. This may be part of why it becomes difficult to trace.
But, according to Rod Rosenstein’s dimwit sister, just a few days ago she assured us asymptomatic transmission isn’t a concern.
Pretty soon it will overwhelming to keep up with the CV news.
Thanks for all you do.
Oregon Health Authority won't reveal how many people are being monitored for coronavirus

Yikes - that is not pretty.
I wonder if that Oregon suicide comedian from the Westerdam that broke quarantine is still in Oregon, or if he’s in Arkansas now for his little speech?
Iran... closing colleges and, I assume, sending the students to their homes to spread the virus.
A virus counts on us doing what we do.
He’s a dreadful punk, can’t say where I think he should be.

Yes, they could

Wuhan cheating:
Exclusive: Wuhan resident reveals hospitals discharge unrecovered coronavirus patients
In the China’s official reports on the #coronavirus outbreak, are the recovered patients they publicize, really recovered? That’s not the case for one Wuhan resident we spoke with.
Her mom is infected. A hospital in #Wuhan sent her mom home despite the fact that she is still terribly ill. Doctors insist that her mom has met the standard to be discharged. They’ve only provided cough medicine.
Relative of a Wuhan Patient says, Many people share our experience. They were discharged. Some had symptoms come back again after only a few days. Now their lives are in danger.
She said even quarantine centers refuse to accept her mom because of her poor condition. So she can only stay home.
[The officials promise] to accept all patients. But then they discharge those who are not fully recovered. Is the person carrying the virus? You cant tell. Now they just discharge people like that. Will more infections happen because of this?
A doctors post thats been circulating online might explain why hospitals are so eager to discharge patients.
In this later deleted post, a verified doctor on this medical forum in China wrote/ that hospitals are now under pressure from officials to increase their patient turnover rates.
They were asked to discharge patients within 10 days, as long as the patients
He said Some patients were still on oxygen support and they could hardly walkminutes before they were discharged as recovered patients.
He also said that now political correctness is above everything, including patients health and the public interest.
The doctor said disease control in China now walked on the path of a political movement.

This lockdown (the first in Europe) will apply to at least 11 towns in Italy, roughly 50,000 people
People will not be allowed to enter or leave areas with outbreaks of coronavirus, and violating this will be a criminal offense.
Overworked crematoriums didnt stop them from building a popup hospital, right? The Chinese dont think like we do.
There was a state official who said something to the effect that what they are doing is a matter of state political security. That appeared in the same story as the hiring plea for more attendants to cart away the dead piling up. The Chinese dont think like we do.
If you want to imagine the CCP cares about the rest of the stuff you mention, I’ve got a bridge for sale cheap - they are desperate to hide the extent of the disaster from the world as quickly as possible, which means the number one priority is getting rid of the dead. The Chinese dont think like we do.
