The man was waiting for a haircut at home when he was fatally shot, according to the Hernando County Sheriffs Office.
A man was shot and killed early Thursday by the gun he was playing with while waiting for a haircut at his own home, deputies said.
The shooting was reported at about 6:30 a.m. at a home on Oakcrest Circle, according to the Hernando County Sheriffs Office. Two men went to a convenience store then returned to the home. One prepared to cut the others hair.
The man who was going to have his hair cut sat down on a bucket outside his bedroom door. As he waited for the haircut, he started playing with his firearm, as he always does, the other man told deputies.
The gun then discharged, fatally wounding the man holding it.
He was pronounced dead when the first deputy arrived on scene.
Deputies said further investigation revealed the possibility, if not the likelihood the wounded man was under the influence of drugs, or alcohol, or both while using the firearm.
The Sheriffs Office is calling the death a horrible accident based on witness statements and forensic evidence. The agency did not release the names of either man involved in the incident.
The agency also did not say what kind of weapon was involved or how it was obtained.
Lol. Stupid ass.
It probably cost him playing on a second Super Bowl.
You came up and posted that in almost one hundred forty two seconds after the first mention. Damned impressive, unless you are Frank Gallop.
Outlaw haircuts?
I guess the only haircut this guy will get now....
Will be from the mortician.
Is that loaded?
Or a 40 of malt liquor.
Well.. he wanted a little off the top and got it...
lol. Can you imagine? He can not even attend his kid’s PTA meeting at school.
“He was playing with his firearm, as he always does..”
Russian Roulette for one.
Should have stuck to playing with his smart phone like everyone else.
Should have been playing with something else .
Hah, it must have been on his bucket list...
You have to wonder if this idiot read what he wrote, let alone an editor. Then again they probably believe that the gun killed and not his unbelievable stupidity! One can only hope he was a true Darwin Award winner without ever procreating.
Thanks so much! Freepers are the best.
There was almost a tragedy. The bullet might have taken out an innocent pedestrian. Instead we had a happy result plus the average IQ in Florida rose slightly.
A Beretta 92 instead of a 1911? How ghey.
I hope the other guy found something else to do instead.
DANG!
I would say it’s arguable that this was a ‘horrible’ accident.
My word choice would have been ‘avoidable’. Or ‘preventable’.
This week’s Darwin award winner.
