Goes for any trip, norovirus is probably your biggest worry with any cruise, even today.
Yes, I’ve seen it, thanks.
All very good suggestions, thanks!!
This has been concerning me. Our son works in an ER as an EMT. When I've asked him, there have been no precautions apart from asking about travel to China. It may have changed, but as of last week he still thought this was an overblown product of media. He's very exposed and works 12 hour shifts which leave him worn out.
2 evacuees from the Diamond Princess hospitalized in NAPA California. 1 has tested positive for the virus.
And whether it’s a cruise or just eating out locally - the table top and menu are none too clean. During flu season, I carry sanitizing wipes with me in my bag. After the waitstaff pick up the menus, I use the wipe to clean my hands and then wipe down the table top in front of me. Just a small precaution.
Its hard, especially when groups like the CDC are so non chalant about the whole thing. All I know is I hope the naysayers are right and it wont be severe here. Prayers for him and all our first responders!

Confirms 29 US cases. (Not 15)
30 people in the whole country is infinitesimal I just want to see the western world doing better than the commies with their honesty thats all
I would love to be wrong about my worries. Thank you for the prayers.
Apparently they are being supervised and monitored by email. No testing and no restrictions
Same in GA (was 200 last week)

“Wonder how long before food riots begin, in China...The shape of things to come.”
Surprised they’ve made it this far without riots, considering that Asians do not generally have the amount of ‘reserve capacity’ that us Westerners have.
As to the US, we’re still waiting to find out if we’re (somehow) less effected.
I dont know how they can riot, they are chained, welded, barred and boarded in their homes and apartments. Those who venture out are arrested and put in quarantine I have seen videos of people trying to escape climbing down balconies. The British guy there who has been doing periscope video is revealing a lot of how things are there and hes on the outskirts of town.
When this hits the Sub-continent, Middle East, Africa and Latin America it’s liable to be game over.
Other great ideas.
Lots of things we come in contact with in everyday life are really really germy.
