He thought nothing of being obviously corrupt because everyone else did it to.

Well nobody would have noticed if he was a chicago alderman or a Cook County Comitteeman, but he should have stopped when he moved up to Governer, where its hard to hide. All Illinois governors have this problem it seems. I think the last IL Governor who did not go to jail for something was what....Republican James Thompson?
