For those new to these postings, you MAY need to “save as” and then open with an Excel file reader. I’m using Libre Office Portable.
Yep, seen his original tweet.
The fool took his whole family aboard.
Just make a list of everything you use, in a day, from the time you wake up until you go to bed. Do this for every member of house (don’t forget pets). Multiply that by 1 -2 months.
Next, determine how much food you need to have in your pantry/freezer for 1 -2 months of meals, for everyone in household.
Then, add in things that would nice to have, if you’re stuck at home....snacks, drink mixes, coffee/tea, candies, etc. Or, any additional meds for stomach issues/fever/severe cold symptoms, etc. Don’t forget masks/gloves/caps, in case you’re caring for someone sick.
I’m sure I’ve left off important items :)
Cambodia has no idea how many more sick people were just unleashed on the world .by unloading this boat .
Cambodia is heavily tied to and dependent on China, and the US is anxious to oppose that relationship.
That explains why our ambassador and their Minister were so effusive in their welcomes.
“If I only have one life to give for my country...”
But, yes he was a fool. No need to bring the whole family.

Wonder if private vehicle bans will include bicycles? If they get here that is.
But in really big news...

OH NO! That's SERIOUS!
My favorite ‘China Hand’...
“... emerging Asia and Africa are starved for more positive US engagement and there is lots of low hanging fruit there. The focus has been tilted. We now need to institutionalize that focus”
Eat it China, you corrupt, sick parasite.
I avoid buying too much stuff that we don't ordinarily like or use, but today I picked up some Gatorade and Jello. They are good to have around if someone is sick. Judging by our local food store, other people are stocking up. Supplies of rice, canned beans, canned chili, and paper goods are thinner than usual. (and there isn't a blizzard in the forecast to take the blame).
Consider also any aging electronics or replacement parts that might be difficult to source in coming months with reductions in Chinese production and shipping.
currently 71,332 confirmed cases worldwide, including 1,775 fatalities.
Hubei province
(includes Wuhan) 58,182 Cases ... 1,696 Deaths
784 Cases outside China, 5 Deaths (1 Hong Kong, 1 Philippines, 1 France, 1 Japan, 1 Taiwan)
Whats special about coronavirus which makes it different from the flu?
I think I am going to go to the commercial cleaning supply store here and by a giant thing of rolls of toilet paper.
Charmin, it isn’t :((
Good idea. We hit Costco a week or so back and added to our stock of paper and cleaning materials. They’ll get used eventually, so I don’t mind storing some extras.
Wonder how they're doing for cigs.
This blog sounds iffy, but can’t resist posting it...

“According to the report penned by Botao Xiao and Lei Xiao of the South China University of Technology, the research lab, which is only 280 meters away from the Huanan seafood market, kept disease-ridden animals including more than 600 bats.
“It stated that while its plausible the virus was leaked from the lab and contaminated initial patients in this epidemic, more solid evidence is required through future study.
“The report also raised the possibility that the Wuhan Institute of Virology could have leaked the virus while it was carrying out tests involving Chinese horseshoe bats.
“Against such a background, an article published by the Washington Times late last month is garnering attention, as it raised the possibility that the disastrous outbreak could be the accidental result of biological weapons research.”
