Our new national language will be Swedish.

I do support English as our lingua Franca and would support another attempt at a Constitutional amendment. Just let’s not put out fake news that “English is our official language” and that Klodhopper wants to change it (nothing to change it from).
Thing is, even though English is the language the vast majority use, it’s STILL NOT the’official language’. Every time it’s brought up, someone comes out against it.

On Friday, Klobuchar’s latest opportunistic move was to announce at a campaign event in Las Vegas that English should not be America’s official language, even though she voted for a Senate bill that would have made English the official language.

A nation that opts to have no official language is playing with fire. Even the Swiss, how have more than one official language in some cantons, have official languages. Language is intimately tied to culture, and when cultures become too different, the bonds of nationhood become weak.

Abandon English? And substitute what in its place? Klingon? Esperanto? Don’t tell me Spanish, that is just a non-starter. Having multiple languages works so well for the Canadians, the Quebecois STILL are a recalcitrant folk, only poorly integrated with the Anglophones.
Our official language will be SIGN LANGUAGE, after dems. have our tongues cut out.
