I finally had to put my kids in school after some years of home schooling due to life circumstances. School officials were horrified I had home schooled and asked my credentials. I said “None, I’m a high school dropout”. They said they would be them in the right grades for their ages but test them. Hahahaha they tested so high (over 90% or more in everything except one kid lower in math), they had to go in “gifted and talented” groups.

In wars killing the enemy isn’t always optimum, if a casualty weighs down infrastructure by eating a hospital bed and 2 or 3 caregivers for a month that’s far more impact than a dead guy getting chunked in a hole as soon as the smoke clears.

I do look at a bioweapon as a depopulation method. That is the context of my comment.

There’s a LOT of stuff over there they may have anywhere from a garage shop to a modern factory making them, but there are a myriad of items that they seized upon to get a toehold. You can grind out shear keys by the bucketloads with a roof covering a pack of 8 year olds sitting on foot powered grinding wheels with a pile of scrap steel. Head on a swivel time, it would seem! I think we’ll see some good actions before, but they will probably be preparatory. The administration will be unchained after the election.

I agree. Basic skills multiply exponentially into and through seemingly unrelated life experiences.

Every kid should have a shop class for at least a few weeks using scrap wood to learn how to make basic dovetails, box joints, lap joints, mortice/tenons, dowel connections. With basic hand tools.

Every kid should know how to cook some basic meals.

How to melt some metal together.

How to sew, with or without a machine. Maybe even knit something, or weave some threads. Make some cordage from plant fibers. Or make yarn by brushing some animals.

How to make fire a gazillion different ways. How to use clay, sticks, rocks, leaves, bark, sand, dirt, shells, etc., for just about everything.
