A few months back I read an English version of the Mahabharata. It’s a story about an epic battle between 2 related families (cousins). In the end, a great battle takes place where 1.66 billion warriors and their families are killed (incinerated) by something called an Astra at Kurukshetra. Only about a dozen people survive the battle. Queer thing is that the description of the missile deployed, killed both sides and the fireball was like 10,000 suns. And if that doesn’t sound like a nuke then there’s the fact that if researchers go to Kurukshetra they find that the ground was once turned to glass and there’s still low levels of radiation and the typical fallout elements in the soil.
*spoiler warning?
Capulets and the Montagues.......Hatfields and McCoys......................
Heh, I think I left it in my other pants. From the sound of the story, muzzie cutthroats buried and/or reused the ruins to build the fort just a few hundred years ago. The utter disappearance of "legendary" places mitigates IMO against the supposed great longevity of folkloric traditions in India.
The Mahabharata would be more interesting if one of the family heads had struck oil on his estate, sold out for billions, and moved to Beverly Hills.

Or it could be a description of a meteor or comet crashing into the city. There is a lot of glassified material surrounding meteor impact sites. (Berringer crater, Tunguska event...)
If a nuke the either advanced aliens or time travel or advanced nuclear technology 2500+ years before Fermi which was never shared or passed down. Interesting fiction but Occam’s razor and history support extra terrestrial material reentry! (Yes, I support E.T. material reentry!! :)

:^) Yup, but instead of binary, it used base 1000.
Many, many years ago, before the advent of the Internet, I read story about these clay tablets.
Seems that they are ubiquitous throughout the Middle East, found on the sides of roads and trash heaps.
Nobody knew what they were until the mid 1800’s when the cuneiform writings were finally deciphered.
The vast majority of them were TAX records..............
