>>Why don’t they stand them on end and use them for outer walls on government buildings?<<
Cut to length, and use to build snow fences, and other such, as well.
Stand/lean on end, and grout them to reinforce drainage channels, or highway slopes.
Lots of other uses for them, with a bit of thought.
Who cares if they can’t be recycled. Bury them in an out of the way place and pretend they are rocks. The only concern would be if they degraded to a toxic chemical that seeped into the water table. Plenty of places where that won’t happen.
“You can build a beautiful wall with those.”
And plant ivy that can crawl up those monstrosities.
It really isn’t going to matter. You still need to mine for the materials that go into windmills and without electricity or oil, you won’t be able to extract those materials from the ground.
They would make nice louver-like Sun roofs for pavilion shelters, to keep the homeless people in the Mojave desert.
How in the Wide Wild World of Sports do the wear out? Those look perfectly viable to be.
I refuse to use those canvas bags for groceries because of pathogens we are paying 10 cents a bag BUT they are much better plastic bags I ALWAYS forget to bring them into the stores for reuse, I end up using them to clean my kitty box!!!
Can they be melted down and used for something else?

From what I can glean on the internet, the darned things are practically eternal and don’t deteriorate. Why not drill holes in the darned things and dump them in the ocean where they can provide habitat for seat critters?
There’s one standing on-end at a rest stop in Kansas (or maybe Nebraska). Makes a nice monument, but not sure to what.
Yeah we were supposed to be switched over to paper and canvas bags a few months ago- but none of the stores have done so yet- I suspect it’s coming though soon- We used the plastic bags to bag up old meat and fruit and stuff that goes bad- paper bags just won’t cut it for that purpose-
Years ago they had paper bags, and they were ok BUT they always ripped- and groceries would tumble out just as you’re about a foot away from house- or so-
wish they’d come up with a biodegradable plastic bag- -
Freaking hilarious: I literally just finished a couple hours ago a photo-essay on the hypocrisy of ‘greenies’ and covered that very topic among my other toxic exposés of wind power’s dirty little secrets.
