In general, influenza B is more common in children, while influenza A, also called H1N1, is more commonly seen in older adults, according to Dr. Jessica Grayson, an assistant professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
So far, 10,000 people have died and 180,000 people have been hospitalized during the 2019-2020 flu season, according to preliminary estimates from the CDC.
“The flu season began early this year and took off aggressively,” added Schaffner. “It began prominently in the southeastern states but quickly spread. So far, there is no sign that the momentum of the annual epidemic is slowing.”
The majority of states, as well as New York City, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico are now seeing high flu activity.
In total, the CDC estimates that 19 million people have gotten the flu so far this season.

I was watching PBS and noticed that the commentator (Woodruff?) looked very pale, was messing up words and names and kept on correcting herself. Then as she was finishing the show, the camera was showing her hands. They were very nervous. I don't know anything about her so I don't know if this is natural for her. My first thought was that she was probably off her meds for an illness.
Now reading your post, maybe she received some news and was reacting to it?

I wonder what some voters are thinking when they vote for Buttigieg. Without being judgmental, how would he as President deal with Muslims? Muslims hate and kill gays. The entire Middle East would be impossible for him not to mention large areas of Michigan and Minnesota.

I don’t think it would be that difficult. Basically, almost everyone we deal with has their hand out for money from us. If Buttigieg has his out with dollar bills, they’ll be happy to take the bills and shake the hand. Pragmatism usually outweighs idealism, except in the crazy few. What they’re thinking might be different, but as long as they see an advantage to being polite, they will be.
Not that I would EVER want him to be President with his political belief structure!

From the DNC Club’s perspective there were three strategic needs surrounding the Iowa caucuses: (1) Hide the collapse of Joe Biden; (2) Diminish the win by Bernie Sanders; and (3) cover-up a less than enthusiastic voter turnout. Given the nature of very public primary races, this three-pronged challenge seemed almost impossible.
Almost.
If everything just seemed to collapse, go wrong, and become a mess; and if the end of the night outcomes could be delayed and undetermined; well, in that scenario the objective would be considered ‘mission accomplished‘ on all three points.
That exact scenario just coincidentally happened.
Despite the media proclaiming Biden was leading the field for the past six months during the impeachment narrative, Joe Biden likely came in fourth or fifth. He may not have gained any delegates in Iowa. No-one will pay attention to that now… and few will question how the “media polling” could have gotten it so wrong. [Tip: they lie]
Simultaneously, Bernie Sanders didn’t stand on stage, declare victory, and receive the praise earned in 2020 that was robbed from him in 2016. No results means no grand victory and momentum. Oh, it’ll probably be declared sometime today that Bernie Sanders won, but, meh, doesn’t deliver the same electoral value. [DNC Club smiling here]
Turnout? The media have been hyping the Democrats chomping at the bit, drowning in buckets of enthusiastic voters who can’t wait to defeat the orange-man. This media narrative has been hyped dramatically for well over a year… building…. building…. to the exact moment last night when such incredible turnout would have been visible. [It wasn’t]

Although it is nearly over, the impeachment and trial of President Trump have taken on a despicable quality unworthy of a free people.
A concern for the political health of the nation compels decent people to state openly what has gone on here: political deception on a massive scale meant to overthrow the election of 2016 and corrupt the 2020 election. Led by Adam Schiff and Jerrold Nadler, the Democrat Party has been promoting and is likely to continue to promote a subterfuge meant to confuse the American electorate and radicalize politics.
In the articles of impeachment, there was no serious case made against President Trump for wrongdoing. Indeed, one wonders whether the House managers were really interested in removing the president in the first place.
The whole thing is geared to one thing and one thing only.
To create doubt and mistrust of the US election process so that, when a Democrat is finally voted into power, elections can be suspended until they are “fixed”.
I can hear it now. “Our election process is broken. We must suspend all elections until that process is fixed. We Democrats are in the perfect position to fix it but...we’ll have to raise your taxes to do it.”
Recall: “Our Health Care industry is broken. We must pass legislation that will fix it.”
