There are currently 2,493 confirmed cases worldwide, including 80 fatalities.
Wife was never in China.
Please see post 317
Same story, different source. 82nd death: The World Health Organization has upgraded China’s risk to other countries as ‘high’ because of the dead;y coronavirus outbreak and admitted the ‘moderate’ rating it issued last week was a mistake.
The WHO’s chief is in Beijing for crisis talks and today admitted the danger of the infection spreading to other countries is higher than previously claimed and is ‘very high’ inside China.
Beijing also today saw the Wuhan coronavirus claim its 82nd death when a 50-year-old man died in hospital in the nation’s capital at around 8pm local time (12pm GMT)

Also, CDC telebriefing today at 11:30.
Every major city in China has human to human confirmed.
New York: 4 Being Tested
NY isolates 4 state residents who may have flu from China
https://www.syracuse.com/health/2020...rom-china.html
SYRACUSE, N.Y. Seven New York residents have been tested for a new flu from China and lab results show three of them do not have the pneumonia-like virus.
State officials say they are awaiting test results for the other four individuals who remain in isolation. The state did not identify the individuals or say where in the state they live.
Right, thats what I said ;-)
Thanks.
Article I read seemed to indicate she’d remained here.
We’ve got about another week to see if there are cases of H2H outside China.
Who knows how many early deaths were diagnosed as normal flu death. That’s why it took off like a rocket in China.
By the end of the week or early next week, first death in America. That is when food will start to disappear. Hard to get masks right now due to China demand. It was easy peasy Saturday.
Schooling has gone home schooling in China.
Ah. A clerical error and hundreds more die. They will decrease chocloate rations for the person responsible, no doubt. And now time for our 1 minute of Trump Hate session.
Why haven’t we seen any interviews with people who have had the virus and survived and are now well? Maybe because all of those people are still isolated, but I would think that the press would be hot to interview them and that the authorities would have an interest in them providing positive experiences on their treatment.
The mortality rate listed in Lancet was for patients who got ‘full spectrum deluxe’ ICU care for their pneumonia. They were the first. The hospitals weren’t overwhelmed yet.
I suspect, all things being equal, a lot of patients in China have died that would have been saved had they not contracted the virus and presented with pneumonia after the whole thing was overwhelmed.
So the final numbers might be higher than 15% just because of no medical care or substandard care in further patients.
(hope that made sense)
Next, I want to know how many heart attack victims, stroke victims and what not have died because all the hospital beds were full of coronavirus patients.

Original title: People’s Liberation Army arrested for spreading virus, police report 6 cases of epidemic rumors
Recently, as the nationwide fight against the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, Sichuan netizens Xiaomou, Dengmou, Tangmou, Sunmou, Zhangmou, and Hemou fabricated and spread rumors on the Internet by the police according to law.
On January 22, Xiaomou, a netizen from Anyue County, said in QQ: “Recently, the new virus is a bit fierce. Cases have been found in Sichuan and Chongqing, and you have recently gone out to take protective measures.” “The county has already died one” The hospital concealed the news and did not report it. “ After verifying with Anyue Health Department, the information is not true. At present, Xiaomou has been dealt with according to law by the local public security organs for spreading rumors.
On January 25, a netizen from Dege County posted a rumor of Tibetan epidemic situation, which was translated as “13 people in Gongdai Township, Ganzi (Dege County) were infected by a Han nationality, please pay attention.” The information is not true. At present, Deng is punished by the administrative detention of the local public security organ for spreading rumors.
On January 25, Netizen Tang from Naxi District released a rumor message about a new type of coronavirus pneumonia in a WeChat group, stating: “A suspected patient in Naxi has been confirmed but fled.” After verifying with the district health department, the news was rumor. At present, Tang has been dealt with by the local public security organs in accordance with law for spreading rumors.
On January 25, Sunmong, a netizen in Zigong City, spread false statements in the WeChat group, saying that “the epidemic was caused by the spread of viruses by the PLA.” At present, Sun is punished by administrative detention for spreading rumors.
On January 25, Zhang, a netizen in Mianzhu County, posted a video on WeChat group, saying “Mianzhu Fuxin has infected people.” After verification, the video is not true. At present, Zhang has been punished by administrative detention for possession of public security organs for spreading rumors.
On January 26, Hemou, a netizen from Wangcang County, circulated on the Internet: “Shaoguan City’s bulletin No. 1 on emergency command of new coronavirus pneumonia infection” made some text changes and changed “Shaoguan City” to “Guangyuan City” It was released in a local group and was widely reproduced in other groups, causing bad effects. At present, He Mou was sentenced to administrative detention by the local public security organ for spreading rumors.
All of the above 6 people have heard the hearsay that maliciously fabricating and spreading rumors, creating panic and causing bad effects, have been dealt with by the police according to law!
In order to prevent and control the epidemic of new-type coronavirus infection, the Sichuan police reminded the general public: they must learn about the epidemic information from official channels, and do not believe, forward Weibo, post it, WeChat and other Internet-related media platforms that are related to the epidemic Do not fabricate or publish false information.
Net police reiterated that the Internet is not a place outside the law, and public security organs will investigate and deal with illegal acts of fabricating, spreading rumors, and disrupting public order. It is hoped that the majority of

Hi there. At this time, that sailing will continue as planned. We continue to closely monitor any developments related to the coronavirus and new government-mandated travel bans. We’ll notify impacted travel partners and guests immediately if any changes are made. -Yami
Its China. Early journalists that tried to warn citizens were arrested for spreading false rumor. So the only thing we will hear is Happy Talk from their government. Just like ours telling people right now it wont be a big problem in the US. How the heck could they possibly even know at this point ? And dont we pay them to be concerned for us ?
