Dear Freepers, I am asking for prayers for my dear Dad William who is dying of colon cancer. He lost his wife (and our Mom) Toni in April 2019 after 60 years of marriage. He served as an MP in Germany during the Korean War era. My brothers and I are going to miss him terribly. Thank you.
I will pray for your father. My father died of colon cancer just 2 years ago, and ironically, he was also MP in Germany during the Korean War. He was in the air force. I’ll pray that your father has peace during this time.
Our prayers are with you and your entire family in this difficult time.
Prayers up for your dad, you and your family. Sounds like your dad is at peace moving on.... You and your family should be ready to accept and rejoice in the place he will be residing in..
Prayers up, Amberdawn
Prayers sent for your father, you and your whole family and everybody that cares about him!
Prayers up.
Prayers for your father and for you and yours.
"those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
~ Isaiah 40:31
"But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christs power may rest on me."
~ 2 Corinthians 12:9
"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble."
~ Psalm 46:1
"The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. The LORD is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one."
~ Psalm 28:7-8
"A Prayer for Strength When WearyLord, Im weary. My energy is sagging, and my motivation is lagging. And I am so in need of you. I need your strength and your fresh touch to get back on track again. Your Word says the joy of the Lord is my strength. If that's true, then I need your joy to replace all the bone-tired parts of my mind, body, and soul.
The pressures of life sometimes push me into a corner, rendering me helpless to move forward. A hundred voices call my name, and I feel paralyzed at times to answer, not knowing where to turn. Lord, help me not to quit, to keep running the race faithfully, and to find strength in that safe, secret place of yours, under the shadow of the Almighty.
I need your strength to say no when I'm tempted to surrender to harmful things, or when selfishness clings to my clothes and won't let go. I need your strength to say yes, when cowardice and fear nudge me to deny the convictions of my heart. I need your strength to reach out in love to those both close to me and all around me. When don't I need your strength, God?
You are my rock, and I run to you today, believing that you will lift up my heavy arms, that you will fuel me for the tasks you've given me, and that your joy will completely consume the weakness of my life and make me strong again. I don't want to stay grounded, crippled by limitations and failed attempts. I'm tired of feeble efforts. Lord, I want to mount up with wings like an eagle and not just fly. I want to soar.
Renew my strength, Lord. Fill me with your supernatural power to overcome each obstacle in my path. With my eyes on you, Lord, with you walking beside me, working through me, I can make it. Thank you, Lord!
In Jesus's name, Amen"
~ Rebecca Barlow Jordan"A Prayer to Endure
Lord, I am weary and dont know when this race will end in my life. I feel like Ive been running forever, trying to outrun this trial. Help me to stop trying to outrun my pain but rather run with endurance the race you have set before me. I know that because of you I am ultimately a victor over the trials in my life. I know that nothing in this world can separate me from your steadfast love. Please give me a measure of your love today; give me the strength to endure this trial. Thank you for your love for me that never ends! And thank you for the crown of joy that awaits me forever in your Kingdom!"

Small world we live in. Thank you for your prayers and God Bless you and your Dad.
Dear Freepers,
My Dad passed away at 1:25 a.m. EST. I thank you for all your prayers on behalf of myself and my brothers. You have all been such a comfort to us these last few hours and I KNOW that GOD heard your prayers for Dad. His passing was painless and quiet. I know he’s with GOD and my Mom now.
THANK YOU ALL.
Love and hugs. My deepest condolences.
Amberdawn, I will keep your father in my prayers each day.
How lovely, thank you.
I finished my prayer and then scrolled down to discover that your father had already passed. My prayer that was raised up was not to save him but was a plea to lessen his pain until he was called home to be once again with his wife and to also comfort his family during this time.
I don’t pray often enough but I do when I believe that it is so deserved. Your father served his country, his wife, and his family. May God hold him close and also bring comfort to your family.
Have faith, He will.
Fellow Freepers, Im the eldest of AmberDawns brothers and I want to thank all of you for responding so heartwarmingly to her prayer vigil request. However, it saddens me to report that Father just passed away this morning at 1:25 am EST. Your thoughts and prayers provide us the strength to move forward in life in our time of grief. I sincerely thank all of you.
Thank you Ranger, my Dad was a faithful Father, Husband and Patriot. We should all be so bless to have a Dad like him.
Prayers done for Dad, Family and Medical Team. I know it is tough to deal with but Ive been through losing Dad. One thing that helped Me deal with it was to realize that Hes no longer in pain and in a better place than We are .
Prayer for dad
