I don't doubt there MAY be a bad flu or something. But with their 4Q2019 GDP growth being the lowest in 29 years, if they can blame a bad pandemic vs poor fundamentals for economic weakness, then investors may be inclined to keep funds flowing to PRC.
It was Rahm Emanuel who said you shouldn't let a crisis go to waste. I simply think the Chinese govt is following Rahm's advice.
