On the Austin 10 o’clock news last night, they said the 3 Texas patients waiting on test results are being self isolated meaning they’re at home and not hospitalized. In other words pinky swear you won’t sneeze on your roommates and family and then the family doesn’t sneeze on anyone down at Walmart or work or school. Who knows about the shared bathrooms in the house or the dirty dishes and laundry. They still haven’t identified where the third person is from other than Central Texas - my money is on UT.
The zinger from the spokesperson is self isolated means “they shouldn’t spend too much time in crowds.” Say WHAAATTTTT?????
Amazon prices change very fast based on demand and supply. So the Chinese must be ordering them by the ton. Will head to HD this afternoon. This is gonna kill the restaraunt business. I am already thinking of ways my main business can still operate. Once they stop all public travel though, just about everything stops. Looks like drone delivery from Amazon to the rescue. Wuhan is trying Taxi deliveries of essentials.

For groceries, I stock for a 3 month supply of food. We will just keep the stock at full as we use it. The social media coming from China looks very convincing.
I find it hard to believe 50 million people would be in lock down for 1400 something sick people. There must be something bigger then reported by the news and China.

Amazon has a pack of 20 for $44 bucks. But a lot of vendors are sold out or have length delivery times.

None available at Home Depot anymore. (at least that’s what online ordering is saying for every one near me). Amazon says March 1 availability, won’t even take a preorder. Probably a complete shut down of incoming masks from China and all available manufactured here being bought up by China.
The hand sanitizers that are available create a real bad environment for anything. If you are diligent about using it, it will slow the buggers to death.
I just ordered a box of 20 on Amazon. They’ll be here tomorrow.

I drove PAST an Asian Food store today, doing some chores. I saw a van in the parking lot with an Asian family getting out - all of them were wearing masks.

I shorted the market Wednesday. The Chinese can keep reporting lying numbers every morning.
My parents, who would probably die if they got pnuemonia, say there are hand wipes and sanitizers available with bleach. That is better than nothing.

Personally, I would increase the strength for better effectiveness. The recommended mix is one part bleach to 49 parts water to clean surfaces if infected by bodily fluid. This ratio is for bleach with 5.25% sodium hypochlorite. If your bleach is a different concentration, follow below.
Make adjustments to the amount of bleach added if its concentration of sodium hypochlorite is above or below 5.25%. Calculation: Multiplier of the amount of bleach added = 5.25 concentration of sodium hypochlorite in bleach For example, when diluting a bleach containing only 5% sodium hypochlorite, the multiplier is 5.25 5=1.05. That means 10 x 1.05 =10.5ml of bleach should be used when preparing a bleach solution.
Also keep in mind:
Sodium hypochlorite decomposes with time. To ensure its effectiveness, it is advised to purchase recently produced bleach and avoid over-stocking. For effective disinfection, diluted bleach should be used within 24 hours after preparation as decomposition increases with time if left unused.
