I remember the Krystal just up Hwy 41 from the KFC (Big Chicken) in Marietta GA when they used to advertise their little square Krystal burgers for 15 cents each. Even as a child you could eat one in three bites, but... 15 cents!

The KFC:

And who remembers this?

Burger Chef and Jeff, oh yeah!

Well, I'm very familiar with The Big Chicken. It's still there so we don't have to be concerned about remembering something that is seen every day.

I didn’t know until recently that Stuckey’s stores were still around.

“Go to the big chicken and turn left. The national cemetery will be on your right in about a mile and a half. After you pass the big Baptist church on the left.

The Krystal I went to was just west of the Square, after you crossed the tracks.

Ah the good old days of America.

Around 1970 or so, seems like I got one (or two possibly) McD hamburger(s), fries and a small Coke for less than $1 (remember getting change back).

just can’t remember if it was one small burger or two. Been too long. If they were 15 cents at McD.....
