Alex Cora, who won the World Series in 2018 in his debut season as manager of the Boston Red Sox but has been linked this offseason to two sign-stealing schemes, has mutually agreed to part ways with the team. Cora, 44, led the Red Sox past the Los Angeles Dodgers in five games in 2018, a year removed from winning the World Series in Houston as Astros bench coach.
He is awaiting discipline from MLB for his role in a sign-stealing scheme by the Astros, and is still under investigation for a different sign-stealing scheme that is said to have occurred with the Red Sox in 2018.

If Pete Rose is banned for life, then Cora should be too.
Agreed. Serves Cora right. All liberals are cheaters
Depends on the technology, does the other team have equal access to the technology, does the other team know that you are using said technology. Both teams have equal opportunity to steal signs non-electronically, so that more or less is a level playing field, it's the technology used that gives the unfair advantage.
I predict a lot of teams are going to have “Garbage Can Night” when the Astros visit.
I predict a lot of Astros are going to be wearing a ball in their ear and fights will ensue. If its the Yankee, Judge alone could tear through their clubhouse.
The whole reason those video rooms exist is because of Instant Replay.
They will rue the day they brought Instant Replay to Baseball.
Opposing fans are going to be brutal. I know Rangers fans will be.
There is a difference between steroids and this. Steroids, at least as far as I know, were a violation committed by individual players. I am not aware of any allegations where PEDs were an organizational program ala Russia and its Olympic program.
This was institutional. This was the organization cheating and conspiring to do so. Whereas steroids would benefit the individual taking them, this benefited the entire team up and down the lineup.
Yep, it’s like college teams going on Probation for “Lack of Institutional Control”

Sorry about that.
I would give you a ‘thumbs up’ but not quite sure what it is supposed to mean these days.....<: <: <:

You would think the real threat isn’t using any of the feeds from the instant replay and game cameras. They can put a stop to that I think. They have officials in there now I guess. Seems to me the real threat is a completely hidden and separate camera system that looks at the catcher’s signs and then from a room deep in the park they shoot a signal to an electronic buzzer device worn under the hitter’s clothing.

There's a fairly good chance Carlos Beltrán may NEVER manage a game with the Mets. The Wilpon family does not want another scandal looming over the franchise.
Me neither. I hope that MLB never adopts the Stalinesque tactics of the IOC and NCAA in pretending that historical events did not happen.
Many Red Sox players and staff (and their wives) DID attend the White House celebration with President Trump, including the leftist Red Sox team owners (John Henry, et al). I was surprised how cordial they were interacting with Trump.
Our buddy Brock Holt was front and center, and was joking around with the President! He had a great time at the WH. :-)
Cora - the damn *manager* of the team - and a BIG segment of players stayed home and pouted. REALLY ticked me off. I found it highly embarrassing as a Red Sox fan. We cheer on these guys for years, then they pull a stunt like this.
I won't miss Cora's post-game pressers, either. He'd sit there all slouched over, acting highly annoyed he had to be there. He'd mumble his comments as if he was some surly teenager. I'm really surprised Cora turned out to be like this. We loved him years ago when he was a utility player for the Red Sox.
