National Security Agency finds ‘extraordinarily serious security vulnerability’ in Microsoft’s Windows 10 that could affect 900 million users - and tells tech giant rather than weaponizing the flaw

*adjusts tin foil hat to give it a stylish, jaunty slant*

I question the timing. The article was released on the 14th, the last day that Win 7 would be supported by Microsoft. Most of the users on Win 7 would have likely transitioned to Win 10 by that date.

In the past, I’ve wondered if, instead of taking down the Internet, the DS tech industry would simply take down most of the computers able to access it. If you don’t accept Microsoft’s updates, your computer is vulnerable to hack attacks (DS and free range). If you do accept Windows updates, then all Microsoft would have to do is provide an innocent looking, toxic “update” to computers already primed to receive that update (native Windows with built in vulnerability). Infrastructure, banking, commerce etc. all held hostage or brought to a halt. Or simply used to black out “unfortunate” news.

I’ve wondered how the good guys would address the grip DS tech has on computing. SO maybe the White Hats had already gone through and identified the DS exploits designed to compromise our privacy, our computers, and have been forcing revision. Maybe that news was not released because it might stop many from moving from Win 7 and other versions ahead of the January 14 deadline (users afraid of what else might be waiting for them in Win 10, undiscovered). Likely older versions have not been “cleaned” and are no longer supported anyway.

Then the DS Media sneers that the NSA notified Microsoft instead of using against the public they way they “usually” do, while failing to mention that it was Obama’s NSA (and hold overs) that abused the public that way.

Just one possible explanation. I just find the timing of the end of Win 7 support and the article re Win 10 too coincidental.

Regardless of what version of Windows (or Android, MAC etc.) the public uses (Linux, you get a hall pass...I THINK), removing the Tech giants from the corporation is only a start - their product empire must be defanged.

tin foil hat territory?

I only just read it, throwing it here for it to be ripped to shreds.
