Sumbul Siddiqui became the first Muslim mayor in the state on Monday, getting elected in Cambridge — where her family moved decades ago after emigrating from Pakistan.
Siddiqui, 31, was elected unanimously on the first ballot by her fellow councilors. Following the vote, the packed chamber stood and showered her with applause.
“The more and more different representation there is, the better it is for everyone,” she told the Herald after the inauguration, noting Cambridge’s diversity.

So sorry to read this. Cambridge is beautiful. Too bad it is the hotbed of Leftism, in a whole State of Leftists. I loved living in Boston a lifetime ago, but that last time I was there (a few years ago), I didn’t feel safe walking the streets anymore.

SS: I think City Councillors have stood up to Trump and are outspoken about his policies and his complete disrespect for our Constitution. I think that the policy order that they filed to impeach him was a little waste of time and energy, in my opinion. It just seems really impossible to do that, and so I felt that a better statement would have just been saying that they disagree with their policies and they’re not going to abide by them.

Columbus day is great because we get to enjoy a parade and eat great Italian food but we NEVER miss a beat as to where our allegiance is.
It’s so absurd it shouldn’t even have to be stated.
Even the old Italians I know that don’t speak great English (very few left) wave American flags at the parades.
And if someone’s holding an Italian flag they better damned well be holding an American one too and know which one matters.
If we started to heckle the US and denounce it at parades, THEN the dems would love the day.
Boy I hate them.

Of course! The peasants have no right to elect the mayor. Communist to the bone, and Cambridge is supposed to be heavily populated by “intellectuals”. A real cesspool if ever there was one. Head choppers are soon to arrive!
The destruction of the fabric started when we started celebrating every minority opinion, behavior, FEELING. A cohesive country requires that we defer to OUR COMMONALITY, not our differences. The Left has had way too much control, since the 60’s. Trump seems to be bringing former Leftists back to the side that wants a cohesive country. I sure hope that the Dem Voter Fraud 2020 won’t undo his progress.

MA has a long and distinguished tradition of electing clueless, dishonest, and just plain putrid leaders. All the while, they love to bask in their imagined superiority (superior to what, we do not know).
The only states competing with them for corruptness are IL and LA (my former home state). They are all doomed.
Cambridge has been a problem for a lot longer than that. A cursory glance appears that they have not elected a Republican Mayor since November 1900. 120 years this year. They seem to have plenty of room for radical leftist anti-American types, just no real ideological diversity that differs from that derangement. So this disciple of Mo is “mo” of the same.
California has surpassed all others for sheer corruption from the usual party. I don’t consider any election returns or those counting them to be either legitimate or ethical whatsoever. Such as when the Dems rule absolutely, as they have in Cambridge for 120 years without interruption.
And the cancer spreads.
Reminds me of a visit to Chicago around the time of the 2004 Democrat convention which was held in Boston. I went to a restaurant, sat at a bar, talked to a female bartender. The conversation turned to the Convention. She said “Did you hear Barack Obama’s speech...?” When I said I hadn’t and asked for a summary, my response to that was “He sounds like every politician. He is bringing everyone together...typical.” Her reaction said it all “You do know he’s black, right?” And now we have “more and more different” in 2020.
If the media would stop protecting these places and tell the truth about our cities, there would never be another democrat elected anywhere. Somehow, the republicans are blamed even for messes in Chicago and San Francisco. Absolutely insane! But media gets away with it.
