Shabab is Sunni, more aligned with al Qaeda or ISIS. Unlikely they would be coordinating with Iran. Probably just a target of opportunity.

Note - I said unlikely, not impossible...

El Shabbab is a Somali terrorist group. They have a history of attacking in Kenya.

The Kenyan Army were peacekeepers in Somalia, and have a good reputation (British military tradition). They have been fighting these bozos for quite awhile: alas, the MSM tends to write up only attacks when the Somalis win, often quoting their press releases, ignoring the Kenyan side of the story of course..

So one suspects this is a routine terrorism attack, not anything to do with Trump.

Prayers up for our troops!

Thanks for the post about the Kenya attack. Here’s more...

US military aircraft, vehicles destroyed in Kenya attack linked to al-Shabab extremists; 5 attackers arrested, 4 dead

NAIROBI, Kenya — The U.S. military said the security situation was "fluid" at a Kenyan airfield used by U.S. forces after a pre-dawn attack Sunday by the al-Shabab extremist group. The attack destroyed U.S. aircraft and vehicles, Kenyan authorities said, and at least four attackers were killed.

It was not yet clear whether any U.S. or Kenyan forces were killed. A U.S. Africa Command statement said "an accountability of personnel assessment is underway." The midday statement said the Manda Bay airfield was "still in the process of being fully secured."
