True, and there are 20 Unrestricted Free Agents at Dallas now without contracts.

They team may implode and NO coach wants to start off with a empty roster................

Dak was inconsistent, racking up 400+ yards against some really bad teams but losing on the road to teams with inferior talent, over and over. It's not an accident they are 8-8 and Dak is part of that. And he's asking to be the highest paid QB in history right after missing the playoffs in a team when 9-7 wins the division.

My bet: He's not going to be a free agent but he's not getting a contract either, yet. Instead he played himself into a one-year franchise tag so Cowboys can see how he does with a new regime before committing to him.
