The New York Giants fired coach Pat Shurmur on Monday after two seasons on the job, but the team is keeping general manager Dave Gettleman. Shurmur was told of his dismissal a little before 9 a.m., according to a source. The Cowboys are the straw that stirs the drink.
That’s why I really wonder if Jerry cares about wins and losses, as long as people are talking about the Cowboys, it’s the world’s greatest Soap Opera, “As The Cowboys Turn.”

For all their problems now, we know that the Giants win Super Bowls while Dallas pretends to be the best franchise in the world.

True, and there are 20 Unrestricted Free Agents at Dallas now without contracts.
They team may implode and NO coach wants to start off with a empty roster................

Jerry may want another SB, but what he really wants is butts in those seats every Sunday. Isn’t he still paying off the stadium debt?...................

Jerry may want another SB, but what he really wants is butts in those seats every Sunday. And for some reason, Cowboy fans keep obliging.

I give credit where it’s due. Jerry is a brilliant businessman. He’s just not a very good GM.

Jerry Jones bought the franchise for $140 million.
It’s now worth $5.5 billion!
Find me a CEO that has gotten that rate of return!

His two-year record with the Giants is 9-23
He deserved to be fired. But so did general manager Dave Gettleman and defensive coordinator James Bettcher - and they weren't.
Giants needed a QB badly last year. So with 5 top QB candidates available in the draft, and the #2 pick, Gettleman picks ............. a running back. Oy.
The last two years have been the worst Giants performance in 40 years and more than one coach should be held responsible and fired.

Jerry may want another SB The only way he gets another SB is if the NFL plays the game at AT&T Stadium.

I dont blame the Giants for not picking a QB in 2018. Word on the street here in the NYC area is that they simply didnt think any of those available QBs were a good fit.
I do criticize them for drafting Barkley, though. They should have traded down in that draft instead of picking a running back who will waste the peak years of his career playing on an awful team.
