So, this has become an annual thread. Each year I hope to find that special someone and each year, around this time, I realize that I may have to wait another year.
But, I can't complain. Life is good. I made a sweet potato pie from scratch and will share it with the family tomorrow at our Christmas dinner. I'm 59 years-old and have been blessed to have spent every Christmas with my parents? How many people can say that?
But, tonight it's just me, George Bailey on Bluray, some beautiful sacred Christmas music on SiriusXM Holiday Pops and a nice bottle of red wine.
How about you? Anyone else solo this Christmas Eve?

I would have been alone this Christmas...but a family member was unexpectedly in my area and picked me up. and now we are visiting some mutual friends of ours.
have spent several Christmases, and many other Holidays alone...or working.
Christmas is more than just one day..so, i never feel like i am missing out on anything if i don’t share it with someone else on Dec 25th. Just like Thanksgiving ..i am generally thankful all the time..its more than just a single day.

Ah, 8-tracks. Last time I saw any for sale was at the truck stop in Wells, NV, more than 30 years ago. I saw an Opel GT not that long ago, though. Nice cars.
I might have to pick up Jesus Christ Superstar on CD.
To: HartleyMBaldwin
I think I have it, going to have to dig it out.
I need to figure out a good sound system that incorporates my cds
in the meantime I use an old boom box.
Old music sometimes makes me feel sad though.

Well then you won’t be as comfy as the old woman who used to live in the ditch under a few boards on the road down the Hill to Sinope, Turkey

I should have said that was the last time I saw new 8-tracks for sale. I still have some vinyl, but no turntable. I’m retiring next summer, and will have to get some sort of sound system for our new home.

Shhhhh!
Anyone comes asking, I was home.....alone.
