So, this has become an annual thread. Each year I hope to find that special someone and each year, around this time, I realize that I may have to wait another year.
But, I can't complain. Life is good. I made a sweet potato pie from scratch and will share it with the family tomorrow at our Christmas dinner. I'm 59 years-old and have been blessed to have spent every Christmas with my parents? How many people can say that?
But, tonight it's just me, George Bailey on Bluray, some beautiful sacred Christmas music on SiriusXM Holiday Pops and a nice bottle of red wine.
How about you? Anyone else solo this Christmas Eve?

This is the second Christmas since my brother lost his wife of 50 years. My heart aches for him. Thankfully they moved near their daughter when his wife’s health got bad so he has her. He’s a trooper but I know he is feeling it.
Watched the Christmas movie “Die Hard” last weekend.
Tonight “It’s A Wonderful Life” This is at least the 50th time I’ve watched it on Christmas Eve!

I’m alone today and tomorrow this year. Worked in the garage today. Tomorrow, I’ll head to the boonies to practice with my guns for my CCW renewal. Somebody will bring me plates of food.
