I read this the other day, thank you for posting it. I found it interesting that they may have perished because it got too wet for them rather than getting too dry as with many ancient species and cultures during past droughts.

The “Out of Africa” theory has modern Homo Sapiens leaving the continent around 70-60,000 years ago. Why would the last Homo Erectus die out 30,000 years BEFORE then?
What about Homo Heidelbergensis? Homo Neanderthalensis? Homo Denisovansis?

I've recently read that three 'strains' of Denisovians have been found. The difference between the strains are as great as the differences between Neanderthals and the original Denisovians.
Some are arguing that they (the other 2 strains) should be given their own names and declared as separate human species.
Interesting times.
