Pelosi’s excuses for not sending the rticles to the Senate is just (again) to deny the President his day in court with another procedural maneuver and also prevent the Republican-controlled chamber from discarding the case against Trump... just proves anew they have no case.

Pelosi can ‘choose managers’ at her discretion and ‘without a deadline’....in order to transmit the articles to the Senate... the House could use the delay to continue ‘to build’ on its evidence for impeachment. Thry could even sit on it until the Fall elections to see if the d-rats regain control the Senate....but the republicans also could regain the house.

(*BTW it’s ‘Harvard legal scholars’ who have advisd Pelosi to refuse transmit of the articles of impeachment. This whole Pelosi led hoax has been ‘meticulously choreographed’ by Pelosi and other senior Democrats meeting behind closed doors.)

There is something we are missing about the timeline.
Schumer wanted the trial to start Jan 6? and go for 3 weeks. So up at the end of February.

Why?

Pelosi now is talking about delaying sending it to the Senate.

Why? What do they gain?

“...until she is assured a fair trial in the Senate.”

Any facts about corruption in the Senate - or is it like this whole Ukraine affair, just wishful thinking? I’m guessing that it won’t be “fair” until the Senate has a Democrat majority.

The fact that the senate has let this get this far without a single fact finding hearing is not encouraging

Troll.

Yippies. But even founder Jerry Rubin went from Yippie to Yuppie and Abbie Hoffman offed himself as he realized the drugs would never be as good and the girls would never be as “free”.

Congress = session. This one, the 116th, expires in 12-1/2 months on 1/3/21, two months after next November's election and two weeks prior to the next president's inauguration.

Ahh, there it is. But in my defense, it's context is meant to mean the inverse of encouraging.

Rubin later said that a policeman came to the jail cell and said “You guys are all going to jail for the rest of your lives—the pig squealed on you!” However, the Yippies were released after each posted a $25 bond.[1]

As if the Democrats haven’t victimized Trump enough, they are now depriving him of the opportunity to defend himself.

I think they may be waiting for the court challenges on witnesses and subpoenas. I for one really would like to hear what Bolton has to say. My son fought in Gulf War 1, and I have been following the Kurds ever since. Was very pleased to see how they set up a functioning government in the north of Iraq when all else were fumbling around. I am not happy that Trump ended up deserting the Kurds, allowing the release of a number of ISIS prisoners and their families, and ending up with Assad and the Russians gaining in the north of Syria. Not to mention the death of several hundred Kurdish fighters and dislocation of about 300,000 Kurdish and other people. I am still trying to figure out when Republicans changed from the party of Reagan to the party that winks at friendliness with Comrade Putin and his objectives. I suspect this was an important aspect of the falling out between Bolton and Trump.

I also need to do more research on the statement I heard today that the delay in moving the funding for Ukraine resulted in a $39,000,000 loss because a deadline for spending was passed. And that Ukraine troops died because of this.

1216 was the Magna Carta.

I think the poster meant 12/18 (today’s date of infamy).
