Green Bay Packers Foundation Donates to Planned Parenthood Abortion Business

The Green Bay Packers are one of the most storied franchises in the NFL. The football team has the distinction of winning the first-ever Super Bowl decades ago, but now the Packers are gaining attention for a more dubious reason.

To the consternation of pro-life Packers fans in Green Bay, Wisconsin and across the nation, the NFL team’s foundation has decided to fund Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion business that annually kills more than 330,000 babies in abortions. The news may prompt some Cheeseheads to abandon their support for the team until it stops financing America’s biggest abortion corporation.

On Wednesday December 4, 2019 the Green Bay Packers Foundation (GBPF) released their annual grant fund recipients. Among the 192 grantees was #112, Planned Parenthood Of Wisconsin Inc, Milwaukee.

The Packers foundation made a record-setting $2.05 million in donations to organizations, most of which are non-controversial charities that help with “the need areas of animal welfare, civic and community, environmental, health and wellness including drug/alcohol and domestic violence causes.”

The Green Bay Packers Foundation was founded in 1986 by Judge Robert J. Parins with a mission to “support charities possessing one or more of the following goals: perpetuates a community environment that promotes families and the competitive value of athletics; contributes to player and fan welfare; ensures the safety and education of children; and/or prevents cruelty to animals.”

Pro-Life Wisconsin, which alerted LifeNews.com to the Planned Parenthood donation, said the gift to the abortion business “directly contradicts this mission.”

“If the foundation truly wanted to promote families and ensure the safety of children, they would not be financially investing in an organization that violently destroys children’s lives each and every day,” PLW said. “Any perceived benefit Planned Parenthood provides to society is wiped out every time they kill a baby, which in their case is 4,639 times a year in Wisconsin alone. In just one day, they wipe out the approximate equivalent of an entire football team.”

The pro-life advocacy group is asking Packers fans to speak up and make their voice heard in opposition to the donation and to call on the Packers to cease any further donations to the Planned Parenthood abortion chain.

“PLW asks that pro-lifers across Wisconsin call out the Green Bay Packers Foundation for their egregious support of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin Inc, Milwaukee,” it added.

Let’s see. If it’s not blown calls by the officials then it’s injuries to key players during crunch time. Then there’s the players who quit after they get that 2nd contract(guaranteed money). And then there are those that shoot of their mouths or even other people. Let’s not forget the reaction to nothing like Janoris Jenkins. Did I miss anything? Why did the Packers do that?

Most Packer fans are Pro Life and will put Life and the Unborn far ahead of their silly football team.

This was a PR move because it appeals to the value system of all of the viewers that the NFL has left.

I imagine some other leftist owners have done the same but they may have kept that quiet for the most part. I thought the Packers were publicly owned with shares and all that so this foundation move seems away around that potential sticking point.

Like ALL foundations, eventually they become corrupt and political monsters, as their progeny sitting on their boards become little Hitlers.

You are clueless about packer fans

I am a Viking who grew up in Duluth, on the border of the two states.

I know packer fans, as a rule most fans hold loyalty to the pack.

Hope the Packers lose every game until this is rescinded.

I don’t know about that, but this Packer fan has been done with the NFL for awhile. 2 yard pass plus flag plus review, plus three generic holiday commercials. I would rather look at the ants crawl on tree bark.
