Some of the discussion about the (briefly) redacted dates for the FISA applications, in the .pdf of the Horowitz report, showed that Sessions was instrumental in barium meals and detecting and plugging leaks. Recall there was one who was allowed to plead to some relatively minor charge, because he implicated most of the Senators on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.

Indeed. Who was it that said, Senator Sessions is the only one who never did anything underhanded and never broke a rule? (Obviously not an exact Quote.)

And there’s a part of me that believes that ain’t all done either. Might be a case of delay rather than blanket forgiveness.

Might fall into the “timing is important” category.

Senate aide James Wolfe was the person who pled guilty. He was the security director for the Senate Intelligence Committee. He pled guilty to one count of giving a false statement to FBI agents.
