Excellent comment. If I’m not mistaken, pepper spray is legal in all 50 states (although some states restrict the size of the container). So yeah, it’s a must in states where the 2A is suppressed.
It’s also a must for folks who would rather not carry for whatever reason.
But as you noted, LEO grade is the way to go. The stuff they sell in store checkout lanes is junk. I recommend the Fox brand. It’s available at Amazon.

Some drug zombies don’t stop attempting to attack after being sprayed with pepper spray or CS gas. And an adult criminal’s punch to the face of a five-year-old boy will endanger the child’s life.
The best solution would be to build a system to expedite executions of all drug dealers, which would include all but the newest addicts. Or allow the straight and sober populace to defend itself without as many legal obstacles.
Cheers to police who bust drug addicts and mark them with histories to protect future victims from legal difficulties in self-defense situations!
