HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (KKTV/Gray News) - A Colorado woman was found guilty of killing her own newborn daughter and tossing the body into a neighbor’s yard.
On Friday, a judge sentenced her to life in prison for the crime.
Camille Wasinger-Konrad, 25, was found guilty in August of first-degree murder after deliberation, tampering with physical evidence and the position-of-trust murder charge.
“Of all the many emotions of the magical first moments of a baby’s life, of all the many tender moments a mother shared in that first embrace with a completely helpless and fragile life, smothering a newborn, and pitching its body over a fence in the cold of January is impossible to understand,” said District Attorney George Brauchler in a release. “Who are we as a people that someone among us has such disregard for the most innocent of lives -- a life they helped create? Disgusting.”
According to the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, Wasinger-Konrad was renting a room in a Highlands Ranch Home. Early in the morning of Jan. 2, 2018, she gave birth to a girl in her bedroom. The district attorney’s office says she covered the baby’s nose and mouth to keep her from crying so as not to awaken others. She then carried the newborn downstairs to the back deck and threw the baby into the backyard of a neighbor.
The neighbor found the dead child at 9:48 p.m. that night and called the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

What I can never understand is the mentality of women that do this. If you do not want the child just go to the nearest fire station or police station. They will take the child no questions asked. It will soon find a home with loving parents that are childless.

Murders her newborn and she gets a life sentence. If she had hired a professionally licensed murderer, she would be free. And applauded by the pro abortion crowd.
Some women are using the Safe Haven laws, the ones that know of it.
Abortion has killed the maternal instincts in women, if it was okay to kill the baby in utero then why not seconds after?

The DA is not shocked. She demands the right of infanticide.
How dare this two faced lawyer praise the woman who pays a doctor to tear the arms and legs off her living baby and then turn on a disturbed, isolated, broken young woman who smothered her baby to keep it quiet and in a deeper act of thorough insanity threw the little corpse over a fence.

This IS the same damn thing as abortion, there is birth control available EVERYWHERE at no cost for the poor YET they prefer to abort the baby!!! It is just sickening that you can drop the baby at ANY hospital, Police Station, Fire Station NO QUESTIONS !!!! Baby adopted to loving family YET they would rather kill it!!! This is EXACTLY why our country and government is what it is today we are no longer a God fearing country our republic is DONE!!!
EVERY kind of birth control is available to ANYone, free of charge. There should be NO abortions period.

This is horrible. I am crying to think of a tender newborn infant freezing to death after being flung through the air over a fence. What kind of animal is this woman anyway? A dog would be a better mother than her. I hope she has plenty of time to recall the ghastly thing that she did during her lifetime in prison. Such an animal like her doesn’t belong among society. So many childless people would have been thrilled to take this baby into their lives, and she throws it into the cold.
I understand the mentality.
And Planned Parenthood Chop Shop gets to sell all the parted out arms, legs, livers, hearts and other parts....

Well, since God supposedly never changes, I can only speculate from the past that He probably feels just about the same way HE felt when the men of Sodom tried to rape His heaven-sent angels that were sent to Lot’s house. Or perhaps how He felt when the children of Israel offered up their first-born infants into the scorching-hot, fiery arms of the false god, Molech.
FWIW, if the ancient past is any indication of the modern future...it probably ain’t gonna be too pretty.

Phew! I’m so relieved to hear this. This is only the 2nd time that I know of where the murderer has been sentenced to life, the other being Emile Weaver. I was and remain completely flabbergasted that Brooke Skylar Richardson was found not guilty of the same.
