That is actually a movie reference — one of the few that I know. In the movie “Treasure of the Sierra Madre”, a Mexican bandit claims that he and his companions are lawmen. When Humphrey Bogart’s character asks where their badges are, the head bad guy says, “Badges? We don’t need no steenkin’ badges!” I have never been to the chans, but I know that one.

I was just over on the British election thread.

CONGRATS to the Brits for what looks like an overwhelming conservative majority.

Just about everyone is happy and/or surprised with the victory. But no one has raised the issue of election fairness/fraud. I have no info or data, but I strongly suspect that election fraud has been greatly curtailed and that this is the least corrupt election the Brits have had in a long time. It will be curious to know if any info about this comes out.
